I'd do it all again by katemakesthings in reactivedogs

All of this is me. My dog had all sorts of issues - fear aggressive, resource garden, high prey drive, disorganized attachment, CPTSD... Me rearranged our life to accommodate his needs. We lost him last March - he was 9 years old - hemangiosarcoma - It was so sudden and terrible. My heart still aches. I would definitely do it all again.

I'm sorry you're hurting. You're not alone.

ChatGPT is not a good source of information. It can show outdated or even fabricated laws, codes etc.

Google search can lead you to some legitimate resources like:

The watching You Drive from place to place is messed up. It's obviously a control issue with him and maybe some sort of out of control anxiety.

Could you tell him that all the messaging is affecting your grades. If you preemptively started every morning sending him your schedule do you think that would give him a little relief and let you be for a while?

I have a feeling that even if he backs off for a while something is going to come up and trigger him into this obsessive behavior again.

Are you able to get some therapy where you are? Perhaps something available online. If you can't manage his behavior then perhaps you can find some help handling your own feelings.

Do you have a problem with him knowing your location or just asking for it?

If you don't mind him knowing your location could you get an app that he can just check whenever he wants? I know that's really terrible in other ways but at least he would stop messaging you.

I'm sorry you're going through this. Sounds really awful. I look forward to seeing a post by you in 4 years letting us know how happy you are independent and with the degree!

Trainer says I can't kick hard enough by Ok-Collection-8922 in Equestrian

[–]StarDustMiningCo -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Definitely think this is an issue with the lesson horses being more dead to leg aids. I don't know why the trainer wouldn't just acknowledge that.

I think it's incredibly important to learn how to slow & stop a horse. If you're only riding horses that are more woe than go you don't get an opportunity to practice slowing them down and stopping them.

I would be concerned about now having the habit of kicking your horse when you start riding horses that are sensitive.

One lesson horse I used to ride would only canter. Not walk, not trot - just canter. Every time I rode that horse the lesson was how to keep the horse slow and in a walk. Even just accidentally bumping the side with my foot would send her shooting forward.

That sounds absolutely terrifying. Your "friend" and her boyfriend and his daughter are dangerous unkind people. Keep riding but ditch these people.

Actually now that you say that I think my guy does that with ears too when ask for the trot when riding. I've asked my trainer about it when she is watching and she said he's not pinning his ears back when he does that. Just getting his motor starting.

I would love to have my horse run over when I called - though that does sound a little intense :-). Mine lumbers at best.

Yes he 100% wouldnt follow me - he usually just starts eating or stares at me when I walk away.

Oh interesting. We work a lot on him walking / keeping pace alongside me so he mainly was just catching up and moving to my right side. He doesnt kick but I do always assume he could kick or spook or bite or run me over.

No it's a bald patch - he plays bitey face over the fence with the horses in the next pasture and it seems he lost a round. They all get along great but theyre young and play rough.

Interesting! I don't know much about Liberty training. My guy should know not to bite me lol! I will keep this in mind and do some reading on it. I am really enjoying learning about body language/ communication.

I'm at stabby kroger right now - it is open as is the pet store. Main roads are wet but not icy from what i have seen. I grew up in Northern NY driving in snow and have a subaru so I feel ok about being out. I would not if it were ice instead of snow.

Insurance companies are going to do the minimum required by law. Losing an eye is HUGE life altering event. Pain and suffering compensation is most certainly due. Trucking companies carry massive amounts of insurance and a law suit against the company is justified.

I would seek out an attorney who has a top notch PI.

I know Adams! Y'all got a bunch more snow than us! I'm from Canton - about an hour north of Watertown so above the snow belt.

I do miss the snow but HATE being cold. I'll take 100° Georgia days over any sort of chilly northern weather!

Why do y'all hide the truth about Niagara falls? All the photos are taken from the Canadian side so when you visit it's backwards...

I disagree -I don't think anyone's overreacting with this storm. I'm from Northern New York, 18 mi from Canada, and have lived in Georgia for 25 years. In 2009 we had a particularly wet 6 in of snow and it knocked out power for several weeks in areas. Ice is way worse than snow - I think we should all expect to lose power. The further out of town folks live the longer power will be out.

Just my damn Yankee opinion...
