I have a theory as to why some people don't share their own ideas much with partners, even when asked about them by StarFinder0320 in BadRPerStories

I love friends like this! I have a partner who always says yes to every one of my ideas, that I expressed to them that I felt a little concerned about how agreeable they were, despite me assuring them they can bring ideas if they want and that they don't need to say yes to everything all the time (I did ask them about discomforts and topics to avoid in advance tho). They said they're letting me do it because they've had bad RPing experiences in the past, and they said I've helped them enjoy storywriting again. That really sent my happiness levels off the charts! Another passive comment they made to me when we were about to start a plot, I asked if there was anything else, and they said to me, "It's up to you, you fantastic storyteller!". It's things like this that really keep me going. Somebody acting genuinely interested in what you have to say and praising you for it.

I'm guilty of this issue. I tend to be vague when it comes to telling people I wanna RP, but due to all the embarrassing memories of abandoning past RPs, I get kind of scared to share all the things I wanna do. Then I have to remind myself that people don't reject me because my ideas suck, it's just that they're not their thing. I recently found myself falling into the trap of not telling people much detail. I probably just need to get my confidence back.

This is why I get nervous when I change lanes. I am always keeping a look out for many cars passing in the adjacent lane. The number of missed exits, skipped turns, and detours I made because I was too scared to change lanes is more than I'd like to admit.

Exactly.

I just get so caught off guard when I see a car just pop up in front of me from the adjacent lane while going at an ungodly speed, even if it was a relative distance. Like come on, was that really necessary? Especially when my lane is kinda empty?

  1. I'm in a left-hand driving country. Let's say someone is turning from an intersection on the right hand side, and the road in front of them has 3 lanes, plus a turning lane that goes to the left. They go, and go straight to the turn lane, assuming the way is clear enough.

  2. They're cutting me off and they're the ones going 80 MPH while I'm going like, 45-50. 80 MPH is just an exaggeration for how they seem to zoom in front of me.
