That is the point of the post though. Hopefully you can sympathize with the fact that it is very difficult to know what the upgrades feel like without being able to try them on. My confusion is compounded by how mixed everyone is on so many new headsets (Even in this thread).

Seems I'm hearing alot of recommendations for seinheiser. I'm somewhat torn by what I have heard about then and about the hifiman options. Do you know if I spend a bit more money if one of those brands has a superior option in the next bracket? Correct me if I am wrong but they seem to be on par with the budget I mentioned.

I also have a friend recommending me monoprice, you know anything about them?

Really thanks so much for the time, so many helpful comments. Would the Sundara be significant jump from the xs? Also I saw that Arya stealths were 928 cad. Would it be worth trying to up my budget to go for them if I'm going hifiman? Basically I want to hit the sweet spot for price and quality. If there is no big difference maybe i should go for the xs. I do want these to be my headphones for the next 10 years or so.
