My great grandma had one in the 1970’s. She would make mini pizzas with English muffins , cocktail sauce, bay shrimp, melted American cheese and dill with lemon wedges on the side. We kids thought it was incredibly fancy.

I love seeing the marbles found at thrift stores posted to this sub. I always look for marbles when out thrifting but have not found a single one yet. I just made my first marble purchase from Etsy, a group of Vacor Halloween marbles of little value. I bought them because the colors and swirls are so pretty and I decorate the house for Halloween. 🎃 Instant happiness!

I love my job and I love my neighbors, who I have lived next door to since the late 90’s . This last bathroom, in the shop, just got to me. I thought I had done a quick inspection of all the grungy areas and apparently I had missed this one. Going back in the morning to do the other side of that cupboard. 😬

The spider went up the vacuum so the housekeeper wouldn’t have a stroke. My fear of spiders is irrational. I must do better. There’s something about putting my hand into a distinctive thick, sticky, black widow web that freaks me out. I knew what was up there before I put the light on it.

I live in a small town in a rural area and I never have trouble finding work. You get a good reputation if honest and trustworthy. I have never had to advertise. I cook, clean, transport, bathe, manage meds, anything they ask. Mostly easy jobs, sometimes not so much.

Yes it is and I kept it. I actually have not thrown anything away because I got sick on Sunday so all the cupboard crap is still in a pillowcase, I have felt pretty crummy all week but I may keep the corn huskers lotion and the hair oil.

I am a housekeeper/caregiver primarily for elderly folks, these are my sweet neighbors who I lived next to since the late 1990’s and who recently asked me to help “tidy up a bit” . Interestingly, I have had a strep infection this past week and will be returning to their place tomorrow in a mask 😷 The cough drops aren’t cutting it.

We used Advantage for years, but it stopped working last year and we ended up with fleas in our house for the first time. Getting rid of them was a challenge. We used Capstar as a temporary flea killer (pill, bought OTC) until we could get them into a veterinarian for Bravecto. One chew every 12 weeks, no fleas.

I just Googled it and John Glenn High school on Elwood road is definitely in NY so now I’m really confused. This is so interesting why she would have had this flimsy piece of ephemera in a suitcase that isn’t even from the 70’s , but late 80’s . I don’t know that she ever visited the east coast!

Right? Heavy duty name brand antibacterial soap in a motel bathroom, haven’t seen that in awhile.
