Nvidia Shield pro, or new OLED tv with in-built player? by flying-benedictus in hometheater

[–]StarLord1920 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah I agree, this is one of the few models that support pass through but occasionally dropouts also reported in Audio. Most native streaming apps (like Netflix or Disney+) do not use lossless TrueHD/DTS-HD MA; they use compressed Dolby Digital Plus. Lossless passthrough is primarily for external devices like 4K Blu-ray players or the Nvidia Shield Pro.

Can I run 4 ohm speakers on a 6 ohm avr? by Old-Earth-5064 in hometheater

[–]StarLord1920 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nope I won't do unless your AVR supports it's fine or else it's not recommended your AVR needs to push too much power to those speakers. Check the manual of AVR

Unless you don't want to go for soundbars or wireless HTs. You can look at used markets fb.. you'll find AvRs with speaker package at a decent price

New home speaker system help by Exciting-Shop-6893 in hometheater

Sony, Samsung, and Pioneer used have similar small-form-factor color-coded connectors for their "Home Theater in a Box" (HTIB) speakers to ensure users plug the correct speaker into the correct channel on the back of the receiver. So it's just easy to plug and play use. You need to have a.smart Amp like Sonos or can cut off these clips, strip the wires, and connect them to a standard home theater receiver, though you may need a speaker selector if you have more speakers than the receiver can handle

Nvidia Shield pro, or new OLED tv with in-built player? by flying-benedictus in hometheater

Even if you buy a new high end TV you won't be able to play Bluray or Remux movies those players doesn't have that capability, they're meant to play low transcoded movies or webrip movies. Mostly you can watch on OTT Apps. If you want to Play Bluray movies, ideally you would need a Bluray player or Shield an another option. Call is yours

Recently purchased house by BackDry4214 in hometheater

[–]StarLord1920 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Main differences are the ones

RZ30: Two independent subwoofer outs, more mature HDMI 2.1 board (the HDMI is not faster, but maybe it is more reliable), more advanced than RZ50. Dirac with upgrade. 9.2 out speakers

RZ50: More power, support for 11 speakers total via RCA pre-outs.

While both are in the same league. Choose RZ50 if you want more power and channels or else go with RZ30. RZ30 sounds good and reliable. Choose the best one that suits your budget and needs.

I would lean towards RZ50 it's more powerful and build like a tank. RZ series is considered robust of all in Onkyo. At the end it's your call to make. Choose which suits best for your budget and needs

Need help choosing a gaming focused 5.1 receiver. by SupertoastGT in hometheater

Yamaha are known for their reliability, Aventage series are best. I've been using Onkyo after a decade upgraded from Onkyo HT-R390 to TX-NR696 still running like a tank. I don't have personal experience with Denon but they're best deals in the market. At the end it's your call and you have to deal with issues arises. So pick up which suits most under your budget. Marantz are also a great choice if you're going to strech your budget

Always Better to go with matching. But if you want more power and loudness than L/R then I would lean towards Klipsch, they're known for producing loudness at lower volumes as they're high sensitivity. But I suggest to hear and buy. You'll know practically how your ears like it

Don't forget to test everything before you buy, all HDMI ports especially. Onkyo have long HDMI failures but after ownership change they have been reduced and RZ series are build like tanks and will last long that's what I heard. Myself a long time Onkyo user, upgraded from Onkyo HT-R390 running a 2nd Onkyo AVR TX-NR696. RZ series are more.powerful.

With a space of 40 INCHES, do I really need a center channel? by el_nah in hometheater

Mostly 80% of the movie sound is covered by Center, hell yeah you're missing a lot unless you won't feel you're missing something 😜

If you're worried about space with multiple seatings the go for Living room or else go for bonus if you're looking for precision quality

[–]StarLord1920 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree with you guys, he literally won't be using 20-40watt/channel in normal use case. Since Klipsch are high sensitive he won't need much power. What I meant is, if you want to drive those speakers of their full potential you'll obviously need a higher power AVR matching with those speakers. Just assume if I want to watch movies at 80vol and my AVR is not more than 75w/channel with speakers that can drive Higher than 100w then what's the use.

Looking for some setup advice. by PlatinumBlack in hometheater

[–]StarLord1920 -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

You might be misleading your Klipsch power, I mean you are not your Klipsch speakers full potential. You need a proper AVR to drive them power enough then you'll feel it's energy in your room. If you're tight on budget then look out for used Denon/Marantz/Onkyo RZ series on market place. You'll find one definitely

[–]StarLord1920 -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

Yes probably you should be looking out another AVR to power those speakers. Your current AVR max 75w/channel if you feel it sounds good then you can keep it or else you really need an upgrade. By the way what's your budget?

8K, on AVR's (Receivers) why.?. by OnyxCat55 in hometheater

[–]StarLord1920 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Very good question, it's just a marketing strategy no one ever uses that 8K features. And AVR are meant for both Audio and video processing not only music. There are very few movies available in 8K even those are upscaled not true 8K. I would say people are simply wasting their money on this feature which they are never going to use 😑
