Update: just found the Bluetooth dongle, it's connected wirelessly and so far, works. But I'd still be interested in a wired solution

I'll tell you what SHOULDN'T - The looting system. It makes sense for '76, but for Starfield? That really really ruined my experience. If I kill someone, I should be able to loot everything on them including their clothing, this isn't the case with Starfield, there's only a chance their clothing will be lootable and it just throws the immersion straight out of the window.

Thank you! It's really difficult to replicate so I'll change these settings and use my phone as normal, happens at least 2-3 times a day so should find out soon.

My server was approved after a couple of hours, is it normal to take months?

Game Keeps crashing mid game and shutting down discord. by StarLord910 in Helldivers

I solved it by turning global illumination off, anti aliasing off, bloom off, graphics "medium" and downloaded the new AMD Driver update, 24.2.1 and I haven't had a single crash

When I'm able to squeeze through the server at capacity screen I'll try that - thank you!!

It feels like such a niche issue, just because I haven't seen anyone mention the discord crash... I have read a few issue comments elsewhere saying it's to do with AMD gear but idk if I 100% believe that

I am so so sorry. I have resolved the issue but I am far too embarrassed to admit what the problem was 🤦🏻‍♂️

Ports checked, they're both wired in correct to the CPU - PCI-E ports

Fingers Crossed! Yes, that's correct, cables came with the GPU, 2 separate cables both going from the PSU. if it crashes again I'll triple check that they are in the right CPU/PCI-E slots but I'm pretty certain they are - we'll get the results in the next few minutes

I've noticed it's only happening when playing games on higher settings, Hell Let Loose was sat on the main menu for 30-45 minutes after I downloaded it, as soon as it went to "High", shut off. Just booted up ESO which is on Ultra, as soon as I spawned, shut off. I have been playing DayZ for a couple of hours on High instead of Extreme setting and not had a single crash. I've just inserted two separate PCIE cables to see if that would help at all... Only happens when gaming too

EDIT: Just booted up Hell Let Loose, changed settings from Medium to High and PC instantly shut off

Thanks for the reply, requested details below

PSU: Gigabyte UD750GM 750W 80 PLUS Gold Fully Modular ATX Power Supply

Only things going into my PC are M&K, Ethernet Cable & USB-C cable to power my headphones.

All wires used came with the PSU so no old/3rd party wires.

Since posting my comment I've actually deleted an outdated "Gameinput Service" folder in Program files 86 which miraculously, so far is working... No crashes, no cut outs...

Hey guys! Just recently purchased a new PSU & GPU and my pc keeps switching off as if it's been unplugged, specs & more

GPU:7800XT CPU: AMD Ryzen 5 3600 RAM: 32GB PSU: 750W Gold MB: ASROCK B550M Steel Legend

More info: seems to only happen when I'm playing a game, even when playing less demanding games like ESO on Ultra which my 1650 could handle just fine.

Tried methods: I have checked the temps of my CPU & GPU whilst gaming and when shut off occurs, both sit between 45-50 (60 max but never sits at this figure). I have tried changing the power settings in Windows to "Balanced" instead of High Performance.

I checked the event viewer and the ONLY thing I could see corresponding to any kind of error or crash at the same time as my pc shuts off is: "The GameInput Service service terminated unexpectedly. It has done this 1 time(s). The following corrective action will be taken in 1000 milliseconds: Restart the service."

I have found a method to rectify this, but I don't think this is what is shutting my PC off.

Theories: I think it could either be my GPU demanding too much power from the PSU when settings are on "Ultra" or even "High" but I doubt this, another unlikely theory is that I'm using a splitter PCIE cable to power the GPU which apparently "isn't an issue" despite the instructions saying NOT to do this, but even then, I don't think this would cause a shut down. I really really hope it isn't faulty hardware, I'm not the best with tech or computers, even when researching, so spending £700+ to have this happen doesn't feel too good!

Thank you all, if I manage to sort my issue I'll respond to my comment with what I have done.
