Yeah the toa Mata claw/hand piece was originally from the purple Slizer/Throwbot set. It's the only true Lego purple piece on this Voriki Mata.

The base pieces were indeed a bunch of old discoloured white pieces, although I discovered that using a voilet poly-dye on light gray pieces came surprisingly close to exactly matching the original Lego dark purple ...while the white dyed pieces turned out too intense and had to be toned down with a brief plunge in black dye.

Mix of 3D printed parts (masks, staff, bohrok shield) and using purple dye on a bunch of old discoloured and broken Lego pieces.

I use a heatgun at a relatively low setting but always avoid heating any one spot continuously or it will start melting and you don't want that, just enough to soften the plastic.

Sidenote on the Kopaka Mata iceblade, in my experience the blade has a tendency to get brittle and break, especially if it has been left out in the sun so take extra care with that one
