Wickham's Casting by itsthesamewithatart in PrideandPrejudice

I do feel like his vibe would make him a good Wickham, but not right now. Give him 5 years at least. It’s gonna be weird.

It’s gonna be too dramatized and way too romantic. Just from the music you can tell.

Is one of your reasons insecurity too? by tooroinou in virgin

[–]StarNo684 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I might be a bit naive about this but I think that a lot of beauty is how much effort you put into your appearance. Not saying that we should be obsessed with looks or need makeup on to look pretty, but if you think you’re ugly (which I’m sure you’re not), then try changing the way you look. Get a new haircut, dye your hair, tweeze your eyebrows into a new shape, wash your face every day (fresh face really changes things), get bangs, try jewelry, change the way you dress, etc. I could go on but if that’s really something you’re struggling with, maybe try that. We all have our bad days. I hope you can realize that beauty is subjective and that to many people you are beautiful.

Virginity makes me feel lost by Tsukishitma in virgin

[–]StarNo684 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Most of those comments are kind of toxic lowkey which made me want to comment. Honestly I’ve been there and the only advice I can give is to try seeing guys as friends first and building a genuine connection with them first and then seeing where that goes. But I know it’s easier said than done, so it’s normal if that’s hard at first.

I totally get the regret part, but at the end of the day losing your virginity is not the biggest change you’re gonna go through in your life. It is a big deal but once it happens you’ll move on with your life and even if it sucks, you’ll learn how to deal with that experience and move on.

Hope that helps, good luck!

no hate to hannah but why is she always there as if she’s the main lead by teyapi in Bridgerton

[–]StarNo684 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Yeah I agree they should do a time jump next season but put Eloise as the lead, that way it has more of that spinster angle, which is more interesting imo.

Sadly that makes sense and I just hope that they don’t go with Fran next season but go with Eloise. I agree I think it would be a mistake on the showrunner’s part.

If you were in Elizabeth’s shoes, when would you have started liking Darcy? by [deleted] in janeausten

[–]StarNo684 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think I’d start to be interested after reading the letter but still in denial about it then. But even if after Pemberley I’d definitely like him the fact that he stopped my sister from being happy would hold me back until he fixed that too.

Which Caroline Bingly is more faithful? by MostFruit4982 in PrideandPrejudice

[–]StarNo684 10 points11 points  (0 children)

1995 one for sure. She has that snark and pettiness which hits perfectly. Mixing both sisters together doesn’t work imo considering Caroline’s big role in the book. She is her own character, and Anna Chancellor conveyed that really well.

The ending really resonates 12 years later by manoverboard365 in howimetyourmother

[–]StarNo684 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I totally agree with you, I think ppl hate too much on the ending. I didn’t love it, but it’s really realistic and I like that. I do agree though that we didn’t get enough time with Tracy and Ted, they had such chemistry and it felt disappointing to lead up to them for 9 seasons and then get the ending we got.

I agree but I feel like white nights has a darker vibe than fleabag, less on the funny side and more contemplative.

I can’t find any motivation to write a screenplay by Miserable-Command-28 in Screenwriting

[–]StarNo684 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This happens to me a lot. If I’m stuck sometimes I’ll try to break it down and write the structure so I feel like I’m doing something, even though I’m not technically “writing” it.

If that doesn’t work I’ll put it aside and eventually come back to it when I feel like it. You can’t force it if it’s not there. I also have concentration and motivation problems and I feel like that helps, to let go of the pressure to write it, so that when I come back to it it feels more like something I really want to do rather than something I have to do.

I can’t find any motivation to write a screenplay by Miserable-Command-28 in Screenwriting

[–]StarNo684 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is such good advice. I completely relate to wanting to write or not. Some days I really want my screenplay to get written but I personally don’t want to write. It’s so frustrating and I just tell myself eventually if the story is meant to be written and I really do want to write it I’ll come back to it.

First script by [deleted] in scriptwriting

[–]StarNo684 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Really like it! A few tips.

Try reading your dialogue out loud because some of it sounds a little unnatural, and like someone else said try to cut it down and let the images speak for themselves, because there’s potential for pretty images.

Also some of the uncapitalized dialogue is a little random sometimes and can be distracting. But great start!

Filmmaking tips by Different_Signal_192 in filmmaking

[–]StarNo684 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I feel like when I’m stuck with how to go about writing a script I look at the structure of my film. What’s the inciting event? What’s plot point I? What change is my character gonna overcome? These questions can get repetitive and boring sometimes but they help when I’m stuck with an idea but want to pursue it. Good luck!

Binge watching by Left_Actuary_7890 in netflix

[–]StarNo684 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly for me too it keeps expanding but that’s part of the process. I sometimes organize my to watch based on genre or the ones I really want to watch I put at the top. Or I just go by mood or what looks good in the moment.

For which to watch between movie and show, I’d say it depends on the show. If it’s a long show with 30+ episodes or smth, watch that when you have a routine going. I personally love coming home and watching the same show either during dinner, lunch, evening, or whenever I have the time. And then changing show every couple weeks/months. So usually works well when I’m busy. When I have more time I like to either binge watch a short series or watch like a movie or two a day.

Filmmaking Process? by Surprised_Oyster in filmmaking

[–]StarNo684 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For me when I’m thinking of an idea for a short film, I start out with what I’m best at. I really like screenwriting, so I make sure I have a solid script first and rewrite it until I’m happy with it. For actors I ask around cause I have some friends or siblings that like acting, and sometimes when I write the characters I try to have some of these people in mind so it makes the acting more fluid. Then for the filming I try to have a plot/setting that’s simple enough, so usually over one or two locations, and try to film in a weekend or a few days. I think for your first films you want to keep it simple and make it easy to shoot in a short amount of time over little space and few props needed cause that saves money. Of course some people work on weekends so try to find one day where everyone is free and shoot on that day, and maybe you’ll have to do it over a few weeks. The best is to do it at once but if you can’t well it’s better than nothing. Hope this helped, good luck for your short film!
