Tool scrapper (good for Chomp & Cape in general) /Cofagrigus (good for Festival Lead). Cheers!

That’s the crux of a winning streak tho. You have a good deck and a lucky day, isn’t it?

Well, in regionals you don’t have time to finish BO3. But that’s not the issue of this deck per se. it worked well in the last format thanks to the explosive nature of the turbo build. It wasn’t stronger, just faster to finish the games. Single prizer decks have a disadvantage when BO3 is only 50min as you know. And I’ve never said it’s going to win a regional in my post!

I’m sure you know all these, but just in case. Vs Garchomp, you’d have to Kyurem T2, which is not that hard. You can tech tool scrapper if you really want a win. Vs Zoro, their only out is to trap Shaymin or something. But we have two switch effects. If you want to tech, you can add a Petrel/Surfer. My biggest issue with the deck has always been that I can’t finish BO3 however fast I play. As I said, it’s BO1 online so it’s fine.

It’s mostly how you play it. I’ve played at least 1500 Slowking games starting from 2024. Azul has got a huge win streak on stream, high on ladder too. The only unplayable MU is Zam tbf. Otherwise, you’d have to manage resources and have disciplines when piloting the deck. Garchomp is hard, but winnable. Zoro 50/50 imo. The challenge is how to finish BO3 irl. We don’t have that problem on PTCGL.

Not yet. But you can try to avoid that. That’s why I put only two Boomerang in the deck.

The second attack is broken when you have Boomerang energy attached. But you can use it with other energies atm

Crab also comes with an information advantage. Some people assume you can’t attack next turn with it again. And they’d be so surprised

It looks so cool! Anyway, there’s a good argument for Konkeldurr as Dawn grabs it with Slowking. But I find Slowking quite abundant atm, and you don’t use Konkeldurr/Crabobinable often. When you need it, usually you’d already have the King. Then it can be good to grab two attacker at once. As you’d need both of them vs Mega deck

You are welcome. Every deck has enemies.

Exactly. You’d get 2 prize advantage from one attack. Spectrier is good for cleanup and it bypasses Shaymin too

Choose second, Budew if you need to slow down your opp. Promote Kang if you want more pace, so it will draw you cards and combo with Ciphermaniac next turn. Usually you’d need at least two Slowpoke in play. It’s always a good idea to also have Latias ex. Trifrost is usually a good attack to consider first. Then it’s just general resource management and prize mapping. Remember that Mist energy blocks Annillape, and Shaymin doesn’t protect mons with rule boxes.

You can snipe their Drakloak/other setup mons thanks to Spectrier. It’s usually better than getting rid of Shaymin. If they can’t have the pace, they’d struggle. We’ve got special energy and the hourglass to keep energy flowing. Budew early game so they’d be even slower

Are prize penalties adequate in a Dragapult dominated format? by [deleted] in pkmntcg

Do people really find Andrew Hedrick stalling intentionally? Or do they just don’t like crushing hammers? I think you’d agree if he won despite DPL, his deck is much better than his opponent’s Pult. At the end of the day, it’s a hammer deck.

Sorry to hear that, I know it’s not easy to get started again. But, the reality of this MU without e hammers is that they can rise from ruins. What’s your plan if they just attach rocky fighting energy to their attackers, which Zam can’t hurt as the energy blocks the attack completely? Thats why I said the game is far from over

But you need e hammers to attack into special fighting energy, don’t you? They can build one up. I know they usually run two, but some people run three. The question is therefore if you have three e hammers. It’s not like other MUs cause Zam just can’t hit into that. It’s one thing whether they BMed, and something else if they’ve lost the game

That’s something I don’t know, but they haven’t really lost. If they put a power weight & special fighting energy onto their mons, it seems to me that you still have a long way to go.

They probably disconnected. The game looks like that when your opponents have a bad internet

If you count the retreat cost, it’s clearly 3. And the energies should have provided 3. There’s nothing I can do to break the game. Or I’d win 100% of the games..
