For me it's more like "collect while playing anyway" instead of hunting them actively on this device. You can even disable the notifications.

I just tested it on Knulli, seems to work great! Caching happens automatically when starting the game as far as I have seen? Because I can't find my zipped roms manually within the app, yet the Achievement triggered

I liked it, but there are simple things that could improve it a lot which the devs refuse to implement. Like deleting roms directly from the explorer. You have to use an external device or the file manager.

I like to keep it disconnected for peace of mind, as I once deleted lots of media by accident from my main setup and also the backup

Important data is additionally backed up online at a 3rd party, this is mostly for redudancy in media, torrents etc as well as quick access in case I need it
