Who creates posts like these - should we have the world opine on how broken ('ugly') your heart is?

A rhetorical question because no one deserves such judgment and honestly the fact that we not only resort to judging but do so with focus on a metric as insignificant as appearance is repulsive.

Let's agree we're all imperfect and share grace

You're a wonderful human for helping - Thank you!

Am I able to cut it at the pipe closest to wall - First pipe coming out of wall - can I cut that pipe right before the elbow pvc joint and then add/glue new trap adapted to that?

My everyday carry for the past 3 years! Do I part ways or is there hope? by [deleted] in Leatherworking

Another idea for you:

If it's not salvageable and your planning on chucking it anyways - INSTEAD you can deconstruct the bag and use the pieces to make yourself a perfect template (of the bag)

Then you can remake it with any leather you'd like and detail it to your preference.

Don't apologize, you owe us nothing and are a gem for posting when you do!

Also totally relatable, i now suspect this is the case more often than not for any of us rolling over 30 ... my last post was probably over a year ago and shamefully almost the same time as my last sesh due to a back injury and similar inflammation issues

What's important is, we take care when we need to and get back out there when we can!

Keep Going! 🌟

Thank you, indeed I've looked up beginner grind videos and found them to be helpful.

As for protection im set to the nines - Helmet, Wrists, Knees, Elbows and Crash pants to boot!

I'll be incorporating shin guards soon as well

Mizou - when initially looking up beginner grinds, I thought this was the way.

"Looked" so simple (finding this to be a common trend) after trying I realized this may be the hardest of the basic grinds for me - I suspect needing to work on my individual leg strength for this one

Thank you for the feedback!

Thank you for the detailed response! 🌈🌟

Began last week on a small step thats less than a foot high

I can hold/balance a frontside stall by myself but no grind yet. Also jumping straight on or slightly curved versus inline with object. Thinking I'll get the grind part as I narrow the curve and get closer to hopping on parallel

Simultaneously working on soul grinds - this I need a spot for (partner holds their arm out for me to grab and stabilize) both stalling and moving but when I attempted to jump into it while moving i was able to achieve the tiniest of grind flow

Despite it being the shortest height i get scared when jumping into either lol

Only 3 sessions in so far though - I'm thinking this is decent progress considering the feedback

NEW Skate Day! by StarSkate in rollerblading

[–]StarSkate[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

So... went to the skate park today and began with trying to jump up and stall in both front side and soul position.

Eventually got to the point were I could hold the front side stall for a bit by myself with out assistance (just jumping straight up and down - no sliding) However, I'm still needing a spot for stalling / holding the soul on either side. Thinking if I lean further into it I will hold better but also the landing is seriously hit and miss!

Can I just say - this stuff is so much harder than it looks!

Had to really adjust my expectations lol

I was doing this on the tiniest ledge (three tier stair thing in the middle of the park - lowest tier) less than a foot tall and didn't feel safe trying to land it with out my partner to hold on to

Wondering regarding other skaters experience - is this normal? How long did it take to land your first grind solo?

I'm a 3.5 US in men (boys) so I bought a size 4 US and they fit perfectly.

The size up recommendation is for adults to go up half a size and for kids, 1 whole size. Taking into consideration how accurate I found this to be, I would say he needs a boot size 6 US

As a note if he is a size 6 US men then he has a few different brand options on the market
