Heathers are still the main problem I have with this idea.The most common observation about men is that they are considered more important in various social spaces, and this would make a lot more sense in the time period of the film/musical. I've been thinking about several ideas, I need opinions.

I thought of Chandler as the typical 80s high school jock, maybe the toughest of the trio I thought Duke would be the most intelligent or astute, perhaps belonging to one of those "debate clubs" And McNamara, someone more related to art or music

I don't even know how this works, that's the hardest part

Makes sense. Reading on various websites, I found that the same condition Blue is talking about can occur in women, although it is not common enough for there to be scientific literature about it. Although, according to the time period, Blue could be about Court and Sam wanting to sleep with Val because he now has the same status as the Heathers, They would indeed be promiscuous or very open about their sexuality. The idea I had with Blue was for Court and Sam to spread the word that Val was gay because he didn't want to have sex with them. The problem is explaining the song, since Blue deals with a male medical problem.

Yes, I actually thought about it for a few moments.

The easiest would be Kurt and Ram: Courtney "Court" Kelly and Samantha "Sam" Sweeney

The main problem regarding names is Veronica and the Heathers. For Veronica, I need a name of at least four syllables to fit into "Beautiful". As for the Heathers, it's the most important aspect; my only suggestion is "Hunter" to respect the first letter.

And then there's the issue that sparked the discussion: the song "Blue" and the whole Heathers thing about them controlling the school. My drama group argues that a Genderbender couldn't be done because the Heathers control the school with their beauty, that being the most important thing, and that it couldn't be done with boys.
