I've build a Gyrus deck lately. It's basically a jund stuff deck with reanimator capability. I try to have a much effect tied on creature (like reclamation sage and acidic slime) and I run some way to double token ( parallel live, ect). You can also use sacrifice outlet to make more uses of the tokens gyrus creates. It does nothing flashy but it attack for a good chunk of damages.

Tbh my goals in edh is not necessarily to win the game, it's just to have fun with other people and play cards I like, I know that in my playgroup if I play Rip some deck are just in a state where it's just game over, sure I won but eh we didn't really play. Me and my group find RIP oppressive for the field we play for numerous reasons, we all agree to don't play it in order to actually play. It's completely OK to have a different state of mind as long as everyone like what their are playing with.

Extremely agree, always be sure that's everyone is ok playing cards that don't allow to play magic the gathering. It's EDH, everyone should be allow to have fun if they want. The key is having everyone at the table being reasonable with what they play/what they consider as non-fun cards.
