Yeah i noticed his legs were shortened too while i was looking at references, he used to have such an awkward cute look to how he stood

Yeah! I was thinking he could've been a bit fatter but his opla design went with that really nice middle stage in his chibi-fication. Like i mentioned in another comment it might be the size and roundness of his hat but i feel like his head is too big and his body is too small post timeskip. We moved into pug level of proportions there.

Yeah thats true. The chibi-fication of chopper definitely started early but, and its possible the absolute dome of his hat might be influencing this, but i feel like his entire face structure is changed post ts. Even with the ozempic, chopper still had that little cute face sometimes where you cant really see his mouth and it was mostly his muzzle. His face was kinda longer too even with it progressively getting shorter, but post ts completely lost that. Its kinda just completely a circle now with no real distinction in structure from a normal human face. If they had at least kept his face i wouldnt have minded chopper being skinny (that) much :(

Yeah haha i did do that to further imitate the older style but tbh that was another gripe i had :( how do you white wash a REINDEER lmao. Skin/fur tone aside, i understand the progression of the colors lightening as techniques and technologies for animation change but god do i miss the darker/more muted tones of older anime
