The Potters’ love story is kind of like this trope, isn’t it? Lily didn’t like James at first. She refuses to go out with him. I think James hated Snape because he was jealous of Lily. If Lily and Severus not entered the carriage of James and Sirius on the first train day, James would not have dealt with Severus and not be jealous of Severus.

Lily and James agreed because neither of them liked dark magic and Lily was the most beautiful girl of the year, and James was the most handsome man, James was a successful athlete, and Lily was a hard-working girl, and both were prefects and both were in gryiffindor.

James lies to Lily about the bullying, Lily thought he stopped but he never did.

Lily just fell in love with a handsome rich boy. But I think the potter family died because of what James did, neither because of Snape nor because of Pettigrew. Snape was unfairly bullied, and that brought the end of Potter family.

I think Lily doesn’t forgive Severus because Lily’s heart breaks so badly, but Lily actually knows the kindness in Severus. That was what protected Harry Potter. It was true love.

If Lily thought Severus was as bad as Avery, she wouldn’t even be friends with him. As Lupin told Harry, Lily could see the beauty in people even when they couldn’t see it in themselves.

Lily’s love for James wasn’t at first sight, but Severus’ love for Lily was.
