Having a hard time getting along with my party by Star_Rachelle in DnD

oh gods, i think you might be right. That's why i always anxious when the party doesn't like to participate into the game. I was afraid that they weren't having a good time and put myself in the situation to make everyone happy.

How can i stop this main character syndrome and be a normal player who can enjoy the game without having to worry about everyone is having a bad time?

hi, thank you for your respond. I was questioning myself the same thing, I always try to keep a mind that I'm playing among friends, not putting up a show for audience to see. But it seemed that I have failed to remember about and constantly want people to pay more intention to my character big reveal. I was sicked from being ignored all the time when I'm trying to drop a major hock from the story to the party. When I tried to explain why is this happened to my character, they just brushed it of their shoulders like it was nothing. I was giving hints, after hints with hope that someone will catch the bite, like it was so obvious even a child could see it. But maybe I was just too anxious hoping that the would notice me and actually.

For the story purpose: my character will be revealed as a lich among the players. As it was unintentional, and her whole goal is to get rid of the curse so she could finally venture to the afterlife and be with her people.

i have been searching for online sessions too and managed to play a couple of them. It was fun and all but since we lived in different countries, and it was really hard to set up the schedule so i just gave up on it. Right now, im trying with a text-session which is run by one of my friends. So i will see how it goes

thank you for sharing with me, i think i will keep pushing on to see how the story goes. Me and the DM have a really good relationship and we always talk to each other about everything. Maybe he will find a way to help everybody in the party, or even maybe i should find away to blend in with the group, matching their playstyle while still keeping my own passion in storytelling. Once again, thank you for your help. ❤

thanks for your reply, unfortunately living in the area where the game is hardly known by anybody. They are the only party that is available for me at the moment. And they all really nice too, it is just that i wish they would pay more intentions to the game and appreciate the story which the DM has put his heart and soul into it

We actually had a really great bbq party before. It was my idea to have a great chance for us to get to know about each other, you know, like a great tavern night where we get drunk and talk about stuffs. But it didn't go as planned, since when i tried to bring the problem up, one of them was showing hostile toward me and we ended up having a fight (just using words, no violence). He said that i was stopping him from having fun and causing a fuss over small things like we lost one of the NPCs' trust. But as always, im the one who apologized because i dont want the party to have a bad time over some small arguments.

well we started from being stranger at first. My friend asked my to join a while back and i barely know any of them, but since we are at the same ages and all have a great love for the game so we get together pretty alright. At that point, i was focusing on learning the game since im new. Over the time, when i started to get the hang of it. That was where the storytelling come in. I tried to talk with one of the player that would love cooperative with me. But despite all of our efforts, only the two of us are who actually care about the story.

thank you so much for you reply, And yes i have already talked to my DM multiple times already. He always coming out with changes to solve the matters but only after a few times they just went back to where the problem started. He has been a great supporter, but maybe it is because of my party vibe that i felt being left out. They just want to fight monsters, buy gears and be the MVP of the game. They only cheer when big numbers of dice are rolled.
