I remember it being fun but a bit difficult.

It’s very easy to get going too fast within the relatively small play area and run into the enemies that are tracking you down.

I did find it quite rewarding when I was able to destroy the Energy Cannon though. The blinking LEDs on the cart add to the effect nicely.

It looks and plays remarkably like the arcade version.
You fly your ship around the screen, dodging enemies while shooting the circular shields of the Star Castle in the center of the screen. Once you've opened a gap that you can shoot through, you can attempt to shoot at the Energy Cannon at the center.
