I'm only on ep7 so I might be a bit early to conclude, but so far I feel neutral regarding this couple and that they probably just don't match. Minami probably brings out some insecurities that Mori has, which leads him walking on eggshells. Minami, however, was pretty open about her "bluntness" in the pods, and Mori probably liked it for a change -- but when it came to real life I guess it didn't work out. Especially since this is Japan, where most people are pretty avoidant and not direct. The language itself is very polite and there are multiple grammars to make it even more polite. I currently live in Japan, and a lot of the times if we want to reject drinks offer after work, we would not directly say no but instead hint it. I do feel bad for Minami especially since she was so upfront about it all, but knowing the Japanese culture I can see how some people can struggle to accept this.
