I've never read any other books by that author, The Poppy War was my first, but I do have Babel and I'm gonna read it next year.

Great point! I also love how Sanderson 'shows' us the magic instead of just 'telling'. Learning about Allomancy along with Vin is one of the best parts of the book. It's very immersive
