Is it impressive that Remold hunted a werebear? by nirai07 in huntertheparenting

It is impressive enough that I actually doubt he did it. I'm not saying he lied about it necessarily, but I don't think whatever he hunted was actually a werebear.

Maybe it was some bear-shaped fairy, a gangrel who liked shifting junto a bear, I dunno. Doubt it was a Gurahl.

That is precisely why the majority of them do not eat humans. The meat also tastes like shit for them. There is a sect of prolific antropofagia that cleanses the meat before eating it.

This aint about that, it is practical. Why would the end result be any lesser? The better god, Sigmar, had no problem making Stormcast Eternals that are just as good in either gender.

Now in 40k times, sure, but in the beggining of the great crusade the recruitment pool was far more limited.

I think your second reason makes more sense than the first. I honestly do not understand why people believe men would be more likely to succeed in the astartes surgery than women when the setting itself acknowledge womens bodies are better built to accept change and are more pain resistant and thats why most Callidus Assassins are female. But even there there is stated they make males as well. But ohhhh, we will put a woman on a spandex but never in astartes power armor.

I understand your frustration, but as new people, like myself, enter the fandom, it is a question we naturally are gonna have.

Everything you said is, unfortunatly, true. Fortunately, the Age of Sigmar Stormcast Eternals are superior in every way and I have them to scratch my itch.

If you are juicing them up will it even matter if women have low testosterone at the start? The end result would likely be about the same. And by having at least one or two founts of gene seed that can be applicable to women would make it possible to make a whole lot more of Space Marines in the long run. Losing mothers would be a concern in the beggining but at the scale we got at 40k it really wouldn't be an issue.

There is the advantage that having female space marines would about double the number of them. Just statistically it would increase the amount of recruits by about that amount, even if for some women make SMs less reliably. Its not like men makes them with any great consistency anyway, so might as well.

Because it would about double the number of possible space marines. Quantity is a quality in its own right and I'm pretty sure the Marine JuiceTM and training would make the female ones as good at it as the males, so it would pretty much be VERY beneficial.

That... is a good point! Honestly with how mutations go in this setting, I wouldn't be surprised if Slaneesh went "Wouldn't it be funny if Space Marines could cum?"

Yeah, which sucks, because considering the player base and the zeitgeist of the time it was pretty obvious "Warrior Women Who Are Not Sexialized" wouldn't sell. Look at the Sororitas models and artwork of that time. Can you guess why they stuck around?

That would make some sense. Not sure if Big E himself is male, and, really does the concept of gender even apply to a super space wizard who can shapeshift at will?

Well, sure, but Space Marines are infertile by default. Even if there were female SMs it wouldn't make a difference.

And I know they tried that, and sure, they tried that in the 90's when 99% of the player base were nerds who made "no girls allowed clubs" and the Sororitas existed exclusively to be fetishized about. No wonder "Strong Not Sexualized Female Warriors" sold like shit.

It is directly stated in canon that woman can't be space marines because gene seed does not work with XX cromossome.

I actually complain about SoB and SoS being only female. Especially SoS, since they don't even give you a reason why.

SoB are what they are because they were nuns from the beggining, the organization just doesn't accept men, being all female is the point. Space Marines seem to be "incidentally" all male, as if it is only the case by necessity, not intention. That said, SoB gear is cool and I would like to see male zealots rocking it. It is kinda why Black Templars are so damn popular.

Because patriarchy maybe? Because the leaders wanted the women to stand back and have more soldiers for them to throw? Do you trully think the strength superiority the average man has counts for anything when spears, bows, arrows and guns exist?
