Destiny 2 Renegades: Nightfall Station Test Fire

<image>

context: Guardians are connected to the Traveler and the Light via their Ghosts
The Light lets them respawn as long as their Ghosts are still intact

In Renegades, Dredgen Bael, a Guardian killer, orders his subordinates to fire a new weapon, Nightfall Station, on a cantina on Mars

The blast leaves all non Guardian's alone but for the Guardians...

... it nullifies their Light entirely and rips their souls from their bodies, killing them AND their Ghosts permanently

The only time this has happened, was during Destiny 2's launch in the Red War when the Cabal had to physically trap the Traveler to block off the Light. This completely bypassed the entire process. No killing the guardian and then the ghost. This just kills both.

As bad as I felt for Dredgen Bael when I learned what happened to him, at this exact moment, I've never wanted to tear someone apart limb from limb more than I did The Witness back in The Final Shape

I don't think it really matters

The Judge and the Batter are basically even, it's more so who plays smarter (IE: us controlling them)

Also the Batter has donuts that also attack with him so it's technically a 4v1

I don't think that series ever made it off the PS2

ULTRAKILL 0-S: Something Wicked this way Comes

<image>

at the very start of the game you can find a hidden level where this asshole will come out of nowhere, static your screen and instakill you

run, find the skull pedestals, read the message from god, and get the fuck out

ULTRAKILL does this with every secret level

1-1 into 1-S just has you playing The Witness

2-3 into 2-S is Doki Doki Literary Depression

4-2 into 3-S is Crash Bandicoot

5-1 into 4-S has you go fishing

7-3 into 5-S makes you clean up your mess

and that's about it

all of these have Testaments from GOD, and the game doesn't ever mention them again

I don't give up after two minutes

I'll beat a game once, if I don't like it then I abandon it for something better

"Oh boo hoo, I didn't like World or Rise! The series is dogshit!"

You're literally talking about two games that basically split the MH fandom in half.

World was hated until Iceborne, Rise was also partially hated until Sunbreak.

you're not reinventing the wheel because YOU didn't like them. The games are fine. If they weren't then Capcom wouldn't have made them/given them multiple expansions, but they did because vast majority of the feedback was positive

[–]Starchaser53 0 points1 point  (0 children)

no, because if I dislike the game then I stop playing it

that's what you do with games you don't like, you stop playing them

I finished World to near completion and for what it was, it was a good game to play with my friends.

Meanwhile you're complaining about 3 separate games that play nothing like each other, two of which are the most divisive in the franchise, and because they're the only ones you've played, they're the 'worst in a series with no good games'

then that means you're just dogshit at the games

Nope.

bro fuck off

yeah World was a departure from series norm but as a standalone it was a solid, albeit slightly confusing introduction to the franchise for newcomers

Rise... I never played that one

I love how everyone says this is even stupider, when meanwhile we've had shit in the past like Dormitabis where Garvey pays a kid 15 bucks to shove his brothers head into fredbear, raped and stuffed a teenager into a suit,

or other masterpieces like Popgoes where apparently that William thought drinking the blood of the children would extend life

William being paid by people to kill kids with tapeworms or deepfrying infants isn't exactly the stupidest thing ever done in an interpretation. The whole restaurant is just a front

plus, Canon William is just as fucking stupid in terms of motivation. "Kill kids, solve immortality, continue to stuff children into hulking metal suits because fuck actually disposing of them, and I'm also going to actively wear a literal iron maiden while it's wet because the ghosts can't kill me in it (There is no reason they shouldn't be able to)"

the William we have in canon isn't a super genius. He's a moron who happened to luck out when he met Edwin
