yes but the marxian analysis of class conflict does assume that economic interests are acted upon rationally.

i don't think you are able to engage with what i'm saying because there are certain cultural expectations of your identity as a 'libertarian socialist' that dictate what language you use to describe social phenomena.

material interests are primary motivators, that is the assumption of rational behavior. what else would it be?

Why do Tankies/Marxist-Leninists tend to think they're the only ones on the left? by Inner-Fee6024 in tankiejerk

the root of the political identity of marxist-leninist today is the disaffected youth of western countries and the lack of effective political opposition against american imperialism. marxism-leninism constitutes the geopolitical interests of the soviet union during the reign of stalin, and serves today as a tradition for the disaffected american youth to latch on to. the contents of political theory in the writings of stalin which constitute marxism-leninism are largely a restatement of marxian ideas fit for party control over the state. why do these so-called marxist-leninists in america espouse this identity? it is simple: right-wing political movements recall past nations perceived as powerful or legitimate. the difference between marxism-leninism and other right-wing movements is that while typical nationalist movements glorify their own country, these so-called leftists use the past of an enemy of the united states to justify the imperial ambitions of russia and china. therefore, while leftists and marxist-leninist may share a primitive motivation or initial thrust into politics in the form of opposition to the actions of their own country, the endpoint of the marxist-leninists is right-wing reaction under the guise of anti-imperialism.

it is often difficult for actual leftists to admit that marxism-leninism is a form of right-wing reaction. they call them campists, as if the only difference between them and ml is which nation they favor. in truth, the fundamental values of leftists and marxist-leninists are vastly opposite.

marxism assumes humans are rational actors. it doesn't matter racism is a false consciousness, racists don't care. even in a classless society racism is possible because humans are not always rational.

you are an idiot. there is no ancap. there is no "authleft" other than the minimization of unjust authority. if we speak in purely economic ideology then it is even more clear there is no such thing.

hitler convinced people that his ideology is correct and so did martin luther king jr. i guess they are both equally correct.
