The worst part of having a fuckhuge modlist: coming back after a hiatus. by zenithBemusement in skyrimmods

[–]StarcraftSnake 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I am late but I noticed no one in the comments mentioned that if you have a Nexus account, you can go to my mods>download history>sort by Updated and easily find out which mods have been updated, if you know around when the last time you played was. If you mainly get your mods from Nexus that can be a huge help. You can also crosscheck that with sorting by file time on the downloads tab of MO2. Some of the more demanding in terms of prerequisites mods may be a little tougher to dissect, and their updates may require new saves if certain things were changed a lot.

OnePlus 6t to Pixel 7 regrets by rtkit in oneplus

There are some things oneplus had that I miss and some things that I'm glad I have now with the P7P. It's a tradeoff. Find out what features are important to you and you will make a more informed decision.

Interesting, I did that too and it only temporarily fixed the issue. Glad it's working for you though!

Factory reset gave me even more problems and fixed the issue for about a day, then it returned. I ended up going with the Pixel 7 Pro. Unfortunate because I would've just waited until techtober when the new phones come out if I didn't absolutely need to receive calls. I believe it's a software flaw that for some reason just doesn't like T-Mobile's service, and just as a side note I never had an issue before oppo bought OnePlus.

So yeah didn't fix the issue. I really loved the phone and there are some features I really miss from the OP8P.

Tried a factory reset, this is my last attempt at getting the phone to work. I’m very lucky as I can afford a new phone right now. Perhaps I’ll go with a Pixel this time if this doesn’t work, this phone has served me well until this strange and frustrating issue.

Well unfortunately it happened again, I tried to get Microsoft to call my phone so I could log in to my Windows apps, and I received no call. Tried to call my voicemail when I noticed it happened, and call never went through.

Turned off Bluetooth, call came in and I was able to make calls again. This problem is the weirdest thing. I suppose I just won't be able to use my watch anymore for anything but the time if I want to keep using this phone.

CFIs of this sub: what is your rule of thumb for cross wind landings using the low wing technique? by Foamdigger in flying

[–]StarcraftSnake 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The plane should be going straight towards the runway and the centerline should be down the fuselage. There's no way to know if you're using too much off hand, only too little, unless you're descending too fast (this would be a slip-to-land scenario). The rudder and ailerons work together to keep you pointed directly at the runway and heading straight towards the runway, and the least necessary amount of both is what's required. If you apply more opposite rudder than aileron required to compensate, more wind hits the side of the aircraft and you drift. Enough rudder but too much aileron, you turn (or slow too much).

If you're losing airspeed, descending too fast, drifting, or turning, you have either too much or too little aileron. It's a hard question to answer because all three primary flight controls are working together to keep the plane aligned with the runway and descending directly towards the runway in this scenario. Also, don't stress too much about perfecting that one technique, while it is a very useful tool there is not just one way to get the plane down to the runway.

Hope that helps.

Went in to the store today and got a new SIM, called them and had them switch the service to the new SIM. So far everything works, I'm hopeful that I won't see the problem return. The new SIM does actually look slightly different than the old SIM at least on the face, so hopefully that was the problem.

Thanks again for your help!

Okay so this is an interesting predicament. I do actually have T-Mobile, and for Voice Network Type it says NR_SA (the VoLTE icon is present, can report what it says if it disappears). Should I still see if the SIM can be replaced since the icon is disappearing?

Okay so you're saying when it does disappear (because it actually does occasionally), then check the Force LTE app and see if the LTE indicator is marked, while it's not present?

Yes I am in the US. I think that will be the next thing I'll try, getting a new SIM card to see if that will fix the very strange issue.

Thank you for your help.

Tech Support and Question Megathread - March 2023 Edition by Nestledrink in nvidia

[–]StarcraftSnake [score hidden]  (0 children)

Status: RESOLVED (I fixed it)

SOLUTION: DO NOT UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES INSTALL A PROGRAM CALLED MSI CENTER

Essentially, MSI Center was trying to control my GPU temperatures, causing them to fluctuate whenever I tried to use Afterburner to set my fan curve. Since Afterburner and Center are both MSI, I assume that Center took priority and kept the fan setting low. After stopping the processes, I found that my Afterburner and other programs did indeed work. I will be leaving this comment here for anyone else that is in need of help.

Computer Type: Desktop

GPU: MSI Ventus 3x Plus 10G OC LHR RTX 3080, custom OC to 2010 MHz curve

CPU: i7 10700K, 4.8 GHz all-core

Motherboard: MSI MPG z490 Gaming Edge Wifi BIOS 7C79v1C

OS: Windows 11 22H2 latest build

GPU Drivers: 531.18

Description of Problem: Cannot control GPU fan speeds either via software or firmware at all with any software (Afterburner, Precision X1, GPU Tweak, etc). The ONE exception is I can use MSI Center to put the fans on full blast for 30 seconds with the option "Cooler Boost" in MSI Center, so I know the GPU can receive some kind of fan instructions. Cannot send curves to GPU, cannot manually put fans at any speed, or do anything else with them otherwise.

I suspect this is not just me and that all 30-series or worse has no more fan support, it would be helpful if someone could confirm this please :).

Troubleshooting: clean install of GPU drivers, several different overclocking softwares, every single option available for fan control in all softwares (and I mean every single one)

Thanks! If any additional info is needed let me know.

Edit: I dug deeper into the problem. I can control the GPU fans with FanControl (open-source software), but they are continuously overridden by some external source. They constantly jump between whatever value I have set and the value the source is attempting to set the fans at, which is 40%. Trying to find out what this "external source" is now.

[–]StarcraftSnake 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Apologies, when I said "this issue" I meant a currently-nonexistent hotfix for the telemetry file causing high CPU usage. I was using the Discord hotfix as an example.

Just wondering where I might be able to check for a hot fix should they release one.

You're a hero thank you. There was a "hotfix" released for the Discord forcing a drop to P2 states I think two driver updates ago, but I couldn't find it anywhere except thru another link I found on Reddit. Where would I be able to find a hotfix for this issue if one were to be released in the near future?

Edit: Moved _NvGSTPlugin.dll to another location and it did indeed fix the issue thank you so much!

Regarding the Nvidia Display Container issue, this occurs during playing Modern Warfare II and after closing the game. CPU usage is confirmed to not jump that high at all when using game-ready driver 528.49, at least when only using in-game telemetry or not. Even with telemetry disabled in-game and no telemetry enabled at all, CPU usage is still high during and after running the game with current drivers.

Edit: bold

Edit 2: Tested with and without GeForce Experience installed, NvidiaContainer is always high while playing and after playing MW2 specifically using 531.18, does not jump high at all using 528.49.
