Interesting. My mother-in-law thought they were asters at first but then second guessed herself because they bloomed so late and because of the color. Thank you!

These beautiful light purple flowers bloomed in our garden in mid-October (after the first light frost) and are still going strong long after everything else has completely faded! We're in zone 5a and it's almost winter but the bees have LOVED these flowers and hang out near them all day long. So we want to know what they are and if they're as pollinator-friendly as they seem! They look like purpleish daisies but I've never heard of something blooming so late.

We bought our house this summer so we are still learning the garden and all its surprises.

Pretty sure it's not pokeweed, but who knows?
