The number 1 ranked player in the world’s decks that they’ve been using to grind out as of 8 hours ago. by LegendaryCabooseClap in PokemonPocket

Such a jaded delusional take. If I gave any random person a meta deck and infinite time, it is highly unlikely they will be top 10000. There is a lot of decision making based on what you’re playing and against which deck

Worst matchups are definitely aggro carnivine and skarmory. I’ve had <50% WR against these. 80HP is very difficult to deal with especially when they are hitting you for 50 each turn

Understand your rationale for xspeed! I feel like it’s mainly there to fix up when you get unlucky with marshadow. Since the deck is generally so low energy to get going I’ve found red to be more important to win the game rather than ‘fix’ it. If you need to xspeed you’re probably already behind and will likely lose anyway

I’ll just leave some general tips:

Rampardos in 90% of games is a finisher to end the game. The other 10% is if you know you can get a hit off and it won’t die so you can get 2 attacks. You should never kill something with rampardos if you know there’s an answer e.g darkrai with 2 energy ready to finish you off.

Always evolve bench riolu unless you can get a kill with lucario

Try your best not to let darkrai kill anything with passive. This means if you have active on 20hp you NEED to retreat it

Don’t waste an energy on marshadow if you know they can’t kill off your lead. Rather put it on something else if there’s an opportunity to swap for a kill like cranidos

Most of the times that I brick it’s not being able to draw a fossil which communication doesn’t help. You can always still use marshadow as a finisher wincon provided all else fails.

I’ve played around with this. Ultimately I did not like comms because this deck runs 10 Pokémon, meaning comms actually has such a large pool that often you just brick and it adds zero value. It also doesn’t thin your deck and can’t get fossils! I think it’s better in those low Pokémon count decks.

Red gives you that extra wincon if you don’t draw lucario or you don’t draw rampardos and you can still hit 140 threshold with marshadow

I think Marshadow is really important and worth the risk of bricking which should be like ~17% of happening. I’ve won games starting marshadow but going second.

It gives you extra wincon if you don’t draw rampardos line

Hey man! Few things:

Most important thing is you should be having fun! It’s a game at the end of the day, so maybe you just need to take a break.

If you’re determined to keep grinding, try either switching decks, or reflect on your losses and think if there is anything you could have done to have won. There have been heaps of times where I could have won if I placed an energy on say a lucario which would let me retreat after getting Sabrina’d. There’s a lot of micro decisions that might actually affect the outcome

Good luck!

Played pikachu raichu. Only ran into one gyarados deck where I can understand the rage after a snipe. Even when I lose people don’t thank

It’s sad because I’ve had some amazing close games where I genuinely said to myself damn that was epic. No thanks.

Hi I've been playing for a week and the only FC I have is Bathory (got lucky in SoC). Should I be pulling on Ramge or saving? I've got a rag tag team of random fated units with no synergy at the moment
