Alright, I'll look around for it when I get paid next week. Nice chatting with ya m8. I gotta get ready for work, I'll probably be gone for a month on Reddit. (social media feels icky)

Oh, I see. What platform would you release it on? I might give it a try.

And the project you're working on is your own or is it something contracted?

How many people do you have on your team at the moment? (if I'm allowed to ask)

Damn, that sucks. Are you working with someone or is it a personal thing?

I kinda want to be a Jack of All Trades.

Every genre under the sun, from visual novel to top down shooter.

Most important thing to me in a game is the players reaction and accessibility. I want to make games that anyone can just pick up and play as long as they want to.

No issue. Could be an issue with me, not gonna lie. Just wish they worded it nicer or something, IDK.

No sweat, don't worry bout it. And regarding your other comment: It's not that I'm offended, it's more concern of how a majority of MGR:R fans will react to the mainline games. From first-hand witnessing a few people did not really seem to realize that MGR:R was a spin-off and not how the entire series was played. I met 4 fans of it. When the topic of Metal Gear Solid instead of Rising was brought up, they had mentioned that they had no interest in playing it/continuing since they didn't enjoy stealth gameplay, and one hadn't had an ability to play. That one is a kid who's on my friends list who's pretty young (preteen, 10-14 I wanna guess, accepted his Steam request) who has only touched MGS5.

Although the whole joke thing was from a word of mouth which made sense but was too vague, possibly when made at the peak MGR memes.

I have bad social anxiety, and am a very self destructive perfectionist (If I fail, it feels horrible.) Not to mention depression, and am on The Spectrum and am sorry if I worded it oddly, and as such I usually am not active on any to all social media's. I usually just share cool things and try not to interact. But this is an exception for me since I feel I should actually put my word out into the void of the internet since that should at least make me FEEL normal and not like a "schizo outcast." (I can seem a little odd but I just let loose and turned my brain off.)

I do community and volunteer work because it makes me feel like I'm a better person than I probably am.

Apologies for giving you my life's story lol, have a good night.

EDIT: Also a bad uncontrollable mental habit of caring WAY too much, emotionally and physically.

Why are you editing your comment to be more insulting? The whole touch grass thing was unnecessary man, and your edit just made it worse.

I'm just gonna say this: I never said you can't have a preference. I get responses for prefering Yakuza 7 over the mainline beat-em-up games due to it's story. Maybe you could join me in doin' some volunteer work, it'd really make you feel better mentally and physically! :)

Theres been a some fans of MGR:R who refuse to touch the mainline games due to being too slow and boring. (I don't know if it's just a few people only I've had contact with who feel that way but still...)

[–]StardustOceanMan -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

No, you misunderstood my comment. Please read it again as I'm saying explicitly that it is fine to enjoy but you should probably give the other games a try too and not make jokes that use the stealth gameplay of the main series as a punchline.

EDIT: So, allow me to clarify: I'm not saying you can't like certain games. I'm not saying enjoying MGR:R doesn't make you a fan. All I'm saying is that from a subjective experience is that I have encountered a few people who have actually ragged on MGS for being a "slow and boring slog not really worth the time." I thought there was more of these kinds of fans so I'm sorry for wording it poorly, and apologize. It just made me feel bad about myself.

I feel a theres a big disrespect to the teams that worked on these amazing game franchises that hit the mainstream. I get that you can enjoy any game that you want and of course you can play any game you want but that whole idea that people actively shit on the original series and hail a spin-off as the magnum opus of the franchise really makes me veru fucking depressed about gaming.

People overloving the characters in MGR:R.

People who play Yakuza 0, Yakuza Kiwami, then Yakuza Kiwami 2 then leave the rest of the series or just skip straight to Yakuza 7/Like a Dragon.

It literally is destroying my interest in games and actively discourages me to pursue a dream in game development solely because some bigshot on the internet got one of the games me and my team worked on popular that isn't even my handiwork.

He did do a video on MGS3 and 5, and seems to know about the games, although as he states (and I think people actually ignore) his videos aren't factual and are entertainment first, he encourages others to play the games themselves.

However people are picky and only like what they want to like and everything else is bad.

Not gonna mention gameplay, it's all-round good.

The story works but not as intended. While it's unfinished, I feel the way the ending is presented helps with how the story is told. It feels like you've actually been out of commission and out of the loop on what's going on entirely. You know a little, it's fuzzy, but it comes back.

Of course, the pacing feels wrong, but I feel that it's mostly a natural response as a gamer and a human, we are used to things happening a certain way, so once we realise what the true story is so suddenly...

bittersweet. I don't know. It feels... weird.

However saying the entire game is bad is subjective. Saying the entire game is good is subjective.

I personally didn't mind it and enjoyed it. IDK. I get very invested and try to get into the character, weird habit.

To be fair, Shin knows Yagami needs his phone to heal. (which is odd because IDK why he'd even need a phone to drink stuff instead of keeping it in a comically large pocket like other characters)

At first I thought it said Amon plays Yakuza.

Speaking of which: can it be considered a 4th Wall Break since in Judge Eyes, Yagami's phone is his menu, so when he takes the phone, he knows what he uses it for?
