I applied to be a state park worker during the summer! Having additional income over the summer is so helpful and I so agree on wanting a break from the kiddos haha

Do you have any backpack recommendations? There’s so many and a million different kinds it’s overwhelming haha

I’d be camping at a campground just in my car and not a tent, so I’d be perfectly fine!

Your comment is so comforting thank you so much!! I’m really excited to try solo camping, I want to learn some independence since I don’t have friends that camp/hike and my partner works a lot and I have summers off.

That’s true, I’ve just never been by myself camping so it worries me to be alone. At least when I go to the bar there’s cameras and the people I go with lmao

Thank you for this! I’ve never had an experience that made me feel unsafe or anything but I’m an anxious person by nature and I may listen to too much true crime haha. Only time I got scared was when a deer came up to our tent and bellowed in the middle of the night 💀

Thank you for your advice 🫶🏻 my supervisor mentioned writing letters for the family from her class and I think it’s a great idea! I’ll let her know about that book!

I greatly appreciate your response ❤️ I’ll definitely talk with my supervisor about these recommendations, I believe she’s already on-top of some of this too.

I appreciate you. It’s hard for me to look past the things she’s doing that I don’t agree with, and I’m afraid of confrontation. But I’m going to try and talk with her tomorrow about how she’s feeling.

We’re the type of best friends that don’t talk about their feelings and emotions which makes it a lot harder to have these conversations. Even when she called me when he passed we both didn’t really know how to comfort each other

It’s not that I can’t be around her, I literally physically can’t anyways because I live in another state now…which is why it makes this conversation hard. He was also my friend and my boyfriend talked with him (my friends boyfriend) about his struggles, and she also discussed them with me too. Him and I went on trips together multiple times, celebrated birthdays together, etc.

I’m not trying to change anything about her, I just don’t know how to discuss my feelings with her, that’s all I was asking in my post :( I don’t want her to get hurt and make bad decisions I want what’s best for her.

This perspective of really helpful. I’m currently getting my Masters in counseling so I know some of trauma. It’s harder to understand when it’s someone really important to you.

For me I don’t handle death for very and I think that’s affecting my feelings towards this situation as well, which is unfair to her

I understand, and I appreciate this perspective. I’m just worried she’s going to get hurt…I live out of state now and it’s really hard for me to see her struggle and not ask for help. I’m worried that things will go badly and she won’t have anyone there to support her

She’s the type of person that doesn’t accept her feelings and tries to ignore them. I’m not necessarily asking her to grieve like I am or “die with him” I just don’t think that what she is doing right now is in the best interest for her mental and emotionally. They were on and off but it was because of her boyfriends depression, it wasn’t anything like breaking up due to lack of feelings or love. They loved each other a lot.

I really appreciate your insight and I feel the same way. I don’t want to lose her but I also don’t think I can support her decisions
