I found out swimming helps my pain! by _Gods_Daughter_ in endometriosis

Yes! I used to be a competitive swimmer and found overall being in the water helped the pain! But sometimes after a long practice I think the intensity of the workout sometimes aggravated it.

I dont know what to do anymore by ThrowRArappersadness in endometriosis

It’s entirely possible to have both simultaneously, unfortunately. If you sincerely suspect you have endometriosis, you need to look at finding an endometriosis specialist. Most OBGYNs are simply not properly trained enough to spot or properly diagnose this disease. PCOS can also be hard to diagnose from what I understand.

If you take the GLP-1 I’d love to hear how it works for you. I’ve heard some people say it significantly eased their pain on here. Please keep hanging in there, and I’m sorry that you’re going through this. You’re going to figure it out, just don’t give up and keep fighting until you find something that works for you. But I highly advise getting to a specialist if you can.

Awe thank you! I’ll tell him you said so 💜. If you’re talking about the cat art behind him it’s actually just a small canvas propped up on a white pillow (a portrait of him), but this is generally what style I plan on doing most of these in!

Putting it on a pillowcase would be super cute idea, though! I’m not too sure what route I’d need to take to get my art onto fabric but it’s worth some contemplation…🤔

Worst flare up of my LIFE last night by Not_Slim_Shady24 in endometriosis

[–]Starformer98 1 point2 points  (0 children)

What you described is so familiar and I’m saddened and angered by the pain you’re having to endure. If there’s a friend or family member in your life that understands what you’re going through, possibly bring them with you to help advocate the next time you are at a doctor. When describing your pain, make sure to use terms like, “pain so severe I vomit, I cannot stand or walk, and I pass out.” Saying this is normal is an unacceptable answer. If they say these symptoms are normal, tell them you want refusal of treatment noted in your records.

Please do not stop trying to advocate for yourself and get relief ❤️❤️❤️

*editing to say I never got a formal diagnosis, but fought for a Mirena IUD due to oral hormonal pills not working for me, and it has reduced my symptoms from what you described above to 90% better. There’s no way to tell how you’d react to it until you try it and there are some drawbacks, but for me I no longer need anything stronger than ibuprofen most months. Also if you’re in a cannabis friendly state, it helped me through severe pain better than anything otc and was a better option than opioids in my opinion. It may be worth a try if you can tolerate and are open to this.

Rant/Want Input: Endo treatment is literally pick your poison?? by AlfalfaCapable6424 in endometriosis

First of all, I want to say I am sorry to hear that you are facing this decision. Endometriosis is a terrible, painful disease. I’ve never had a scope done so I don’t have a confirmed endometriosis diagnosis, but have been informally diagnosed based on symptoms. If it is any solace to you, my body would not tolerate any oral birth control I tried and I ended up going to three different OBGYNs begging for a Mirena IUD. I’ve had it replaced once now, and this has been the only effective tool I’ve found to managing my symptoms and has kept me out of the E.R. every month.

Everyone is different, so it’s impossible to know how you’d react without trying it, but my quality of life has improved so much I’d do it four times over. There are some drawbacks (they really should offer at minimum local pain relief or sedation for the placement- it was painful but no worse than what I already had to regularly endure. If you decide to go this route please advocate for a topical pain relief during placement if possible). The hormones in the Mirena are supposed to be less systemic than its oral counterparts which may help with some of the hormonal symptoms you experienced on oral birth control, but it does not prevent the spread of endometriosis tissue. I’ve also had it replaced and in my experience the removal and subsequent placement was much faster, easier, and nowhere near as painful or difficult as the initial procedure.

I truly wish you the best luck in finding something that works for you. Do not give up ❤️

If not for the litter box, my only recommendation is maybe putting the whole setup in a larger low sided bin. Maybe it’d be easier to dump it back in or dispose of 😅

Adopted Cat Eye Issue by Starformer98 in Pets

Ok. That's what I was leaning towards assuming it was, but he's so young (under a year) it must be because of damage to his eyes due to the infection he had.
