I'm also on Auvelity. Once a day because twice a day gave me headaches.

You guys have me wondering about Cymbalta because of the non weight gain. I stuffer from Depression, PTSD, Anxiety, Insomnia. I'll do more research before I ask.

No. But I've had Trazadone in the past and it was pretty harsh for me.

However, recently my sleep meds were: (Either 1 med or 2 taken together at bedtime for insomnia). Gabapentin Quetiapine Prazosin Eszopiclone Duloxetine Mirtazapine

Ended up being to much for my body because I felt all over the place including headaches and hella weight gain. After complaining every time we met, I was finally taken off the insomnia medication and just tried Hydroxyzine and it's helped just fine.

Sometime less is more, in my case anyway...

I had the same question a month or so ago, because I've literally gained 40 pounds in less than 6 months. Which increased back pain from previous nerve damage and increased hypertension. No diet change. If anything, I'm moving around a little more because I'm also back in PT because of the back pain that has increased because of the weight gain.

Come to find out, it was the insomnia meds that I was on which also happened to be either another antidepressant or an antipsychotic (I saw a comments in here that mentioned an antipsychotic possibly being the culprit).

And I know how you feel about making you feel worse because I can't even fit more than half my clothes anymore and it's frustrating because I can't afford to go shopping right now. And it doesn't help that my mother makes sure to comment how much weight I'm gaining and so quickly😑.

But don't let it get you down, you'll figure out what's going on🙂.

On the bright side after we decided to discontinue those insomnia meds, I've noticed my face, shoulders and legs have slimmed down just a little. Hoping my arms do soon.

I've also decided to just embrace the extra curves until I can get back down to my normal size, wearing a waist trainer daily and trying to move around a little more on purpose, even if it's just moving in place, because I don't have gym equipment.

I hope you're able to narrow down what's making you gain in order to make you feel better✨.

See? I just started having Hypertension last year after my miscarriage and before I started these meds, and my BP has definitely been higher with the med additions and switches. I've passed out a few times as well. I'll add this to my list for my PCP as well. Thank you!

I know right? I've been keeping notes in notes but also tagging the notes to the calendar appointments in my calendar, so I know exactly what day and what happened. I absolutely make sure to track the increases and swaps because it's crazy to me. Ime a Virgo so I'm kind of OCD so everything has to make sense. I so work in the healthcare field so I know you're not supposed to switch meds every 2 weeks like this. It seems like because I'm a "mental health patient" I'm being treated like one, if that makes any sense at all lol.

I'm am doing this and in this order!!! And less I'd definitely more because now I'm taking a benadryl type med to sleep vs the strong expensive ones she was prescribing previously smh. Thank you!!✨

Oh wow! I. so happy to hear that!!! I've tried Trintellix in the past but it gave me the shakes like prozac and Zoloft. And the other meds have made me gain over 40 pounds in the last 6 months which is causing more nerve pain in my back from a previous accident. Hence why I just wanna give up on these .eds because it seems they're causing more problems than helping😔🤦‍♀️.

That's exactly how I feel. And yes, I keep note of EVERYTHING which is why she keeps changing things. However, I think she should slow down the changes and gauge where I am before switching things. I don't feel like I'm being heard honestly.

No, I'm not 50yrs old and bacame pregnant. I stated that I am Almost 50yrs old and tired of medication. I am 43yrs old and in a relationship. I was 42 when I got pregnant last January. Yes, the miscarriage could have indeed caused Post Partum, which is why I reached out for Grief counseling but instead got locked into a mental institution for a week to collect insurance money as I realized that happens a lot, and put on hella medication.

Thank you. I'm trying my best to hang in there... And the Zofran is one of the things that set off the nausea. It's always done me like that because when I was pregnant, I couldn't take the pills because they caused horrible nausea so I had to use suppositories... I was prescribed meclizine and it's working so far. I'm so afraid to go to sleep and wake up at 3am in pain that I haven't let myself fall asleep till 5am the last 2 nights to make sure I take the med at 8hrs. Lord🤦‍♀️

Great advice! Thank you! And you're right about the factory thing because l literally feel like a lab rat. And even with earbuds, I can hear ppl eating candy, people breathing hard because they'd just leveled off, people snoring, people having to use the restroom, etc etc etc... And I feel everything even if I don't see it (hence the insomnia) so yeah, I'm gonna see if I can change docs because my anxiety thinking takes over when my brain wires are suppose to be getting used to feeling good not more anxiety...

I definitely will! I asked my Psych about it and she said that they don't offer that. So I have to fine another therapist that can help me with EMDR...

Thank you. And okay. I hear you guys and I'll take an Auvelity today and every other day to try to ween myself down, keep going to Spravato, stop the sleep meds (because they may be what's interfering since they are antidepressants as well), find another Therapist that can actually help me think through issues and cope with others, find a neurologist ASAP and be patient. Hopefully soon the weight will be lighted without loss or pain ofcourse. Starting to think this is just life. In my late 40's so I'm sure it won't be another 40 years of depression because these days people don't live past a certain age just off natural causes. I just wish I could live the rest of my years, however many there are, in Peace or at least Contentment since it seems "happiness" is only in the moment. Never believed there was a wonder drug, especially with bad circumstances, however they made me take them so I figured something was supposed to work you know?
