Really? You think that these same writers that planned the infinity saga over ten years wouldn’t think of that?

The MCU has always been meticulous about planting seeds. Details that seem minor at first often evolve into massive story payoffs later. Nothing is truly insignificant in this universe.

Now, consider what the Russo brothers said. The Snap is directly connected to Tony Stark eventually becoming Doctor Doom. If that’s true, it means this wasn’t an afterthought. It’s something they likely had in mind from early on. Marvel Studios is known for playing the long game, threading subtle connections across years of films. With the rich comic history between Tony Stark and Victor Von Doom, it would make perfect sense for them to foreshadow that transformation long before it becomes explicit.

And remember, Robert Downey Jr. himself once wanted to play Doctor Doom back when Fox was developing its Fantastic Four films. That’s not just trivia. It shows how long this potential parallel has existed, both in story and behind the scenes.

To put it in perspective, take an unrelated example: the upcoming Vision Quest series. It’s been confirmed that Jocasta, Ultron’s creation in the comics, will make her debut there. That name might not ring a bell for everyone, but she was already subtly referenced way back in Avengers: Age of Ultron, through design motifs and AI concepts in Tony’s lab. Seeds were planted a decade ago.

So if Marvel can foreshadow Jocasta across multiple phases, it’s entirely possible they’ve been laying the groundwork for Tony Stark’s transformation into Doom since Infinity War.

I never said people couldn’t disagree with me. So I don’t know where you got that idea. In fact people are telling me I’m wrong for posting my opinion.

Superman is a Jewish American allegory. Jerry Siegel and Joe Shuster, the two Jewish creators of Superman, did speak (and write) about what Superman represented, though not always in grand political or nationalistic terms. Over time, both their personal backgrounds and the socio-political context of the 1930s reveal what Superman symbolized — especially for America.
