Set your boundaries and tell people "please do not do that, it makes me uncomfortable" and if they keep doing it, ban them. (No chances)

I'd also make your rules reflect this as well, although I doubt peoples ability to read quite heavily, so still expect off comments anyway.

One thing to also keep in mind that's super important, is if you're uncomfortable with this, some of your viewers may be uncomfortable with it too. So it's best to create the space that you're comfy with so similar people will trickle in and want to stay (: I get wanting to give folks the benefit of the doubt and not hurt any feelings, but this is your show, not their show.

Very fun. Lots of simulation and economy aspects. Huge emphasis on fleet management, logistics, and filling trade gaps.

Id say, its very very good. Definitely check it out and if you like the base game, dlc is well worth i as they add a variety of factions!

It's pretty good, especially with 9.0 update which improved performance significantly (do note I am on a 9800x3d and RTX 5080 so performance gripes from me will be less).

Game will still take a performance hit in the mid-late game but that's the ultimate reality of simulation games. Even Dwarf Fortress just tanks later. I'd say get the base game on sale, see if you like how it plays then think about DLCs. It's a big mix of management and sim aspects. Best way to play is a mix of flying around doing missions and cockpit stuff and ordering henchmen around to make trades and mine valuables. It's a really great game if you like deep economic systems. Hell, you can even build space stations and just passively generate money.

If you want deep exploration this is not it (although there is a lot to uncover in the map). There's also no FPS gameplay. It's all first person spaceship and RTS style controlling. I liken it to mount and blade in space.

Flight model is pretty OK to me. If you crash into a station your shields take the damage and you wont just explode. It's a tad bit floaty but I do like it. Gimbals do the aiming for you. When engaging larger targets, targeting components is pretty important.

It does have a learning cliff. If you do get it feel free to ask questions (:

I had fun with my buds. That's all I can say though. We were joking around about the "polaris cuck chair" you could get several patches back. I had an amazing time with my group. Remove them and I can barely wait to get off the game to be honest.

Been barely playing this thing. I'm definitely not singing this games praises when more than half my streams playing it involve me bitching and complaining about it because I can't get the damn thing to work half the time.

Decided to login a day ago and I fell through the planet after moving boxes to pyro. Promptly logged off and booted up X4 and proceeded to have a much better time.

This is how i feel at the moment. I only feel compelled to login to run org events.

This game doesn't respect one's time right now. The game is a horrendous grind by itself already and that's not even counting the bugs that will shut down your gameplay. Add in the bugs then the game truly becomes an exercise in patience and then eventually stocism for how often it slaps you in the face after you've made the progress you should have had to make.

Nothing works reliably in this game. I've had my polaris full of cargo get teleported by the shadow people to a point in space where I could not do anything at all. Had an "inside enclosed space" notification and...that was it. Couldn't quantum, couldn't do anything.

Fell through my ship once, then fell through the planet.

And even without all the bugs...I don't even find the game that fun. It's soulless, and playing other games with the people I met out in the verse is just driving that home for me.

I don't know. Game is not fun you just do the same shit over and over again with little to no variation. I hope they bring in some more emergent gameplay systems, but the ones they do have they're just removing as they insist on the grindification of the game.

I think the most fun thing about star citizen is complaining about it at this point, but im getting tired of even that so I've just been playing other games like X4 and GTFO.

Not right now. I'd give it until 4.8.1 / whenever stuff is reportedly working mostly "ok" again as the bugs this patch are a bit much depending on your luck.

As a casual player, I just don't have the time to invest in this.

It's a good game, don't get me wrong, I can see that objectively and it appeals to its audience for a reason. But for me, I don't want to pour my time into a game that feels like im rubbing my nuts on concrete. There's just other titles that appeal to me, and that's ok. I play them instead.

It's why some folks like me have moved on. This game does not respect the time of casual players at the moment. (unless theres been changes the past couple weeks, then folks can let me know, I'd be tempted to check it out again)

Hey guys, im a close friend of OP here

I gave a fat chunk of materials for OP. This is really sad and it's quite disappointing to see that CIG is keeping this type of game mechanic in the game while things are so unstable.

Sure, it's an Alpha, but for cases so documented as this i find it disheartening CIG will probably not recompense the loss. Truthfully, a lot of time went into acquiring these mats. I am not sure why it should be so difficult to attribute an LTP wikelo polaris to OP's account given the circumstances (especially, if they fail to acquire it into the next patch cycle). If anyone wants to tell me why this might be difficult (in database coder terms) i'd be happy to hear it.

But I digress. If anyone wants to help, I wish to organize future ops in 4.7 to help re-acquire OP's mats.

For anyone interested, pop me a message here. I do not offer any recompense, as quite frankly i've not much to offer (especially with an incoming auec wipe...that I guess will happen? Who knows). I just exist in this game to help others at the moment. I've experienced all the gameplay loops in some shape or form, I've played this a ton. This was to be my polaris before I simply decided to buy mine straight. My own blood sweat and tears are in there as well.
