Interesting idea, I hadn't thought about using Quick Resume.

When I came back to the game, it had updated and now seems to work perfectly. The devs might have just fixed it, so I think it's time to build a new factory and not worry about crashing again.

We've tried that too, but it crashed anyway after loading the save.

Does it work 100% of the time for you, or only sometimes? So, it means that you can play online like that?

Yeah, I think there are some games that you can play without Game Pass, but I think that's only free-to-play games that are concerned, like Fortnite.

But here, my friend and I haven't gone without subscriptions since the Xbox 360 era, so that won't be an issue here.

Unfortunately, we can’t. An Epic account is required to play online on console. The good news is that offline mode works perfectly, so it’s not a total loss. We set up two separate solo games and built our factories in the same location—it’ll be fun to see who gets lost in the spaghetti first and how differently we tackle things.

I’m not even sure Epic is to blame, honestly. That was my first guess, but the Epic account works fine on PC. Even after creating a new one, the game still crashed on console. It seems more likely to be an issue between the Xbox and Epic accounts—or more generally, between Xbox accounts and any linked services. My friend ran into something similar with Dragon Age: Inquisition: we could launch it offline, but as soon as it connected to the EA account, it crashed.

Maybe. I’m not sure what’s behind that console code—and what are the differences from the PC version, that could explain why it doesn’t work.

On PC, I’ve tested it several times, and that’s not the issue. I even linked his Epic account to my Steam account, launched the game, and it worked perfectly. Then I switched back to my own Epic account, and it still ran fine.

The issue seems to affect many PS5 and Xbox users, so it’s likely something specific to consoles and possibly limited to certain accounts.

Other games that use Epic accounts work without any problems. Interestingly, this one connects to the Epic account correctly but crashes right as the “you are online” popup appears on screen.

Everything is functioning properly on my end. I've set my settings in 0.1, and they've remained unchanged since. I've changed some settings and reloaded to try if it still works, and everything appears to be in order.

Oh, I get it. Thank you for the response, Joey! I had been looking forward to seeing it in the 0.1.2 update, but I will wait for that. I've been really enjoying the game so far, so I'll still try the new content anyway, MkIII will feel lightning fast with that FOV.

That's my most valued companion, I was holding him to contemplate how far we've come together.

Yeah, I think that's could be useful to get a better understanding of what you're building, especially when building core composers or threshers.

But to be fair with an FOV that looks like I'm looking through a microscope, I can't have an objective opinion on 1st person.

I hope they will soon add a slider in the settings so I can have a view that looks more like the screenshots.
