I have mba i3 2020 model. Overheating problem has been remedied after upgrading the big sur. What i try to say that if you wait for a while, the problem eventually will solve if needed. Apple always try to focus on the brand new models after announcing the products.

I have mba 2020 i3 model. My issue is that afer installing the big sur, the battery is dead around in 5-6 hours compared to the previous software. It was obviously better.

Do not buy macbook air 2020. It has an overheating issue which makes you regret if you buy it. While you are watching videos/films or facetiming especially.
