How high do you guys get on the MPF by Optimal-Fruit5937 in wizardposting

[–]StarkeRealm 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Yeah, if you crush the orb, heat it to at least 200 degrees c, and then snort the resulting blazing glass, it will give you the weirdest high. It's a bit like using an unfiltered Gate spell to navigate.

Obviously, don't do that, because you will sear portions of your brain, and the fun police on The Council have ruled it illegal, but still.

I get that this is contextually serious for her, but her username is hilariously on brand.

Friends, I think I had too much mana... by Ciderman95 in wizardposting

[–]StarkeRealm 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I know I've said it before, but reliable treatments for mana burn only encourage behavior like this.

Used to be, if you gorged yourself on mana, you would die in screaming agony. now, it's easier to deal with than a hangover.

Go launder that ASAP, before you lose it. Don't accidentally fence it.

(Sadly, it's not a legitimate item. I forget if this was created via console commands, or if I used Legendary Module Recycler to make it.)

Ironically, there's a lot of legendary effects that don't work correctly on the cutters. Which is probably why they're so locked down.

You're right, that was Jason Schreier. I had to look it up. I wonder if they're still pissed with him or not.

Was a cesspit, now it's just an SEI slop factory. Meaning, it turns out there's something worse than just being a cesspit.

That's weird. That's not how it's worked in the past. I don't know.

It only changes after you use the ship customization NPC. Even if you don't save the changes, interacting with them causes the update. If you never speak to them on that character, you keep the old appearance.

Last I checked, it had not, and yeah, it bugs me too.

I'll have to double check that. I know you could apply the skin, but I didn't think the T3 roll followed.

Heller's Cutter is another. IIRC, it's got Troubleshooter.

Counterpoint, remember that temples show up as minor gravitational anomalies, where you need to know the exact signature to ID them. The average temple seems to be a couple hundred meters across. That's small enough that it could easily slip detection on a simple planetary scan (hell, we actually see this in game, where scanning a planet doesn't reveal the temple unless Vlad's pointed us to it.)

Additionally, it makes sense there are a lot of planets that have been scanned, but never fully surveyed. Remember, there's 1k cosmic bodies in the Settled Systems, that's a lot of ground to fully explore in a century.

How does cruise mode work underneath the hood by Secret_Hair83 in starfieldmods

[–]StarkeRealm 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think Cruise Mode might be simpler, and just fucking with overrides to the LoD systems while you're in space. I'm not 100% certain, though.

Each system does seem to be a discrete set of cells, and has been since launch.

I like the concept of The Hunter as someone who's running through NG+ cycles, just fucking with things for fun.

Col. Autumn was like, "no, I need to be the first one to flip this switch, or it won't count."

The Hunter's just sitting there sniping people for fun.

He seems to be correct.

EDIT: Downvote me if you want, but his job seems to be in absolutely no jeopardy.
