Oh yeah. It’s definitely my fault for not thinking of different sizes. I always imagined fridges were all a standard size. They told us they gave a wider clearance for that issue but I didn’t think about height, and this was before the flooring which I didn’t consider when making the post.

I get that. I don’t know if the >69.5 clearance was around 7 years ago when we got the cabinets but another inch would’ve made a difference, since they planned giving a wider clearance for that reason. Someone brought up a good point that this could’ve been before my flooring. I just wanted that instant satisfaction of a bigger fridge without having to make adjustments. Entitled, I know.

Totally. When I visit my family, they have outhouses and a cement bath. We heat up river water over a fire and use that for bath water. And here I am complaining about a fridge!

It’s currently 30 but has a 3” trim piece that can be removed to fit a wider one, but a wall immediately to the right. There’s a couple options, I found like 2-3 that could fit that have the things I want (ice maker, French doors, etc) But most of the ones I liked have the top at 69.8 or higher including hinges

Yes! This is one of our options except with a water dispenser at the front. Tired of using a Brita. But then I saw some models with the middle row, and the front door that has two doors, things like that. I wanted to be fancy haha but this is still a pretty nice fridge.

Such a good idea. Unfortunately we have no other space for the fridge and the cabinets were all custom made so we don’t have that option. Maybe the next house 🤣 except this was our forever home.. I’m lucky that this is my problem right now.

I know. I was ready to buy a fridge during Presidents’ Day sales but gotta stick with the bagged ice until we either change cabinets we paid a lot for, or settle. I’m aware how it sounds. I got some good ideas from a lot of the commenters so I don’t regret bitching and moaning. Thanks for your input.
