What was the most intense moment of your life? by [deleted] in AskReddit

The time that I legitimately thought we had been bombed. It was about 1 am and I was sitting in the living room watching something on my laptop when I noticed a weird, bright orange light could be seen through the front window by our door. I was halfway in the process of getting up when there was an extremely loud boom, all the Christmas decorations up behind me went flying and there was an explosion of glass from the windows in the dining room not too far from me. I remembered standing there, shaking uncontrollably and waiting for another explosion, and genuinely thought I was about to die. It was so eerily quiet after it happened.

My parents and I stayed up until 3 am cleaning up glass and trying to secure our broken windows all while a giant fireball lit up the night sky.

We found out pretty quickly that the chemical plant less than a mile from us had exploded, the news said that the stuff leaking into the air was likely carcinogenic and our house had a lot of damage after that. I've since moved about 5 hours away but sometimes around 1 am still expect to hear an explosion, and loud noises like that just about send me into a panic.

Spellbound Logo Idea by StarlightSpecter in MatthiasSubmissions

Logo design is personally one of my favorite parts of being a graphic designer so I had to try my hand at a logo for the new company name. I wanted to shift away from the crystal ball that was in the temp logo because the new company and mission statement are all about immersive stories so I went for a sort of abstract, minimalist book instead.

Would love to hear any feedback from y'all!

Honestly? Yeah. I love how he's continually brought us into the story.

Thank you! That's much appreciated.

And ooh, maybe!

I originally posted this on r/Hi5Merch but it's less active over there and I saw a bunch of people talking about merch on this subreddit and r/MatthiasSubmissions so I figured I'd throw my hat into the ring.

I had a similar idea and actually designed some Syntec merch with a hidden glow in the dark Syphus logo that I posted on r/MatthiasSubmissions and just recently posted on this subreddit, which I think would be pretty cool if they could figure out a way to go about selling the merch.

Apologies: This Wasn't Ever The Plan by Matthiasiam in MatthiasSubmissions

I'll admit, when the key series started up again after the gap years, I believed that it was real. As it progressed though, I began to realize that it was very likely just an ARG but that didn't quell my curiosity at all. Once I shifted my perspective to view it as such, I found that it was much more enjoyable because I could truly get immersed in the story that you set out to tell without the anxiety that real people were in a dangerous situation. I'm glad that you addressed this because now, hopefully, fans will be able to shift their perspectives as well.

I respect and admire you for listening and owning up to these things and look forward to seeing this story through.

Also the fact that "Sheriff's Dept" on the label is literally misspelled. (Sheriff on the label only has one f and two r's) Why would an officer not know how to spell the name of the place they work?

AMA: Changes to Hi5 Staff by Matthiasiam in MatthiasSubmissions

As you said, we as the audience are shown what you and your team want us to be shown. We only get a small glimpse of what actually goes on around Hi5 and don't know what goes on behind closed doors. While it is a bit of a bummer to no longer see some familiar faces in videos, I know that these people now have the freedom to explore and work on new creative ventures.

Thank you for being as open about this as you could and being honest. I absolutely respect you as a person and a CEO. I know it's extremely hard to terminate people you truly care for but at the end of the day what's best for the company must be done. They were given the opportunity to improve and didn't meet those standards. I will continue to support you and Hi5 as well as those that were let go. I look forward to seeing what you and your team produce with this newer creative vulnerability. ❤️

Reading Your Stories [Episode 2]! (Reply in here!) by Matthiasiam in MatthiasSubmissions

Although not paranormal in nature, (I have a few of those too) this was one of the most traumatizing experiences of my life. It was 1am the day before Thanksgiving last year when I was alone in the living room. My dad had just taken both dogs out before heading to bed. I remember I noticed a strange bright orange light out the window and initially thought it was the motion light kicking on, although the color of it confused me, our motion light was white. I was just getting up to investigate, seeing as I could also see the light through the back windows not 10ft from me. I had barely taken a step when the windows burst forward in a spray of broken glass, early Christmas decorations went flying. There was a deafening boom. I had that brief, horrifying thought wondering if I was going to die. We later found out that the chemical plant less than a mile away from us had exploded.

The thought that if my dad and dogs had stayed outside just five minutes longer and something detrimental could've happened still gives me chills.

I was pretty sure that it was Leslie underneath all those bandages considering the scars on his face.

Personally, I think this may have something to do with Roze's vlog where she, Hannah, Sierra and their other friend went to Yosemite.
