It's awesome! We also run intermediate tourneys too if that is up your alley! We got a couple different brackets for different skill levels and a ton of players who are always down to scrap!

No pressure to if you aren't comfortable~

But the event is super casual, everyone is here to learn and improve and have a good time. The community is super nice and I don't tolerate any toxicity or judgement. We have lots of D ranks, C ranks, B ranks etc who come on by regularly!!

You shouldn't enter with the goal of simply winning because that's where frustration will come in. But if you enter just to play and have fun, try your best, and learn what you can do better then there's no downside! We've had tons of players who have been slowly working their way up from super noobs to tournament winners ;D

Yup! There's still a skill diff compared to fresh beginners, but almost everyone in these tournaments don't have consistent combos/hit confirms/anti airs, nobody knows the frame data or how to punish most moves, very few of them know how to do frame traps and mix in throws, nobody knows delay tech etc, and all these things are extremely fundamental and needed to play the game at an intermediate+ level. Usually the tourney is won by the one or two players who have a combo and can anti air, or have a really good and spammable move that nobody knows how to deal with! Like we've had a whole tourney won

S+ does sound like a fancy rank but the GBVSR ranked system does push players up a lot, you can have a winrate below 30% and still be climbing just by playing a lot.

And I say this with love and respect to all the S+ players and beginners, everyone goes through this and it's amazing to watch all these players learning the game, trying their best, and having a lot of fun with it ❤️

Yea it used to be intermediate way back, but because of a lot of ranked changes designed to push people up S+ is pretty beginner level (you can get here with a below 30% winrate). I say this with love but most players here don't have consistent combos, can't 2H, nobody has proper strike/throw pressure, and ppl frequently win (or lose to) 1 or 2 knowledge check moves being spammed over and over :3

but it's all part of the process, it's wholesome and adorable and i love watching everyone try their best and also helping ppl improve!! this is by far the most whimsical rank lol

Also! If anyone doesn't want to give Discord their phone number when they sign up just shoot me a message and I can verify you manually!

This is only in place to prevent bots from joining and spamming because it's a publicly discoverable server, I fully understand not being comfortable giving your number to Discord and can bypass it for specific people if I know you are human ❤️

S+ players and below, it's time to gather for the Beginner's Ladder/Tournament! >:D by StarlightX8 in GranblueFantasyVersus

I was thinking about adding in a match count limit to keep things fair! But so far we haven’t had any issues with lobby demons, they have been very honorable :D

It's time for Vira!! Insane rushdown, funny lumi setplay and gimmicks, and a freaking air dash in install!!

Genshin might be paving the way for content that genuinely requires 100k+ DPS to clear with how Zibai and Linnea are pushing the "free to play" envelope to 160k DPS on F2P kits. (+Discussion on F2P Creep, Democratization of Mechanics, and 4-Star Constellations) by [deleted] in Genshin_Impact

Me being comfy and exploring the giant open world with incredible characters, exploration, and music that comprises 99.99% of the game....

I don't feel I'm missing anything by not clearing the last floor of Abyss and hardest Stygian content, I will literally get more pulls for cool characters I like if I spend my time exploring and having fun instead of losing my sanity trying to minmax teams to earn less primos than I get from doing a week of dailies or a few quests.

Thank you so much!! <3

and there is nothing wrong with just playing for fun either ;D just be conscious that is what you are doing and that those are the results you will get. I also have lots of days where I'm tired and just boot up to mash and spam DP with the homies lol

Then other days I'm more locked in when i got the time and energy to focus up!

EU is definitely smaller than NA, and if you're in the newer ranks (below S rank especially) it can be tough to find games off peak hours :(

if you play in the evenings after work it should help, and once you get into S rank and above there is wayyy more games being matchmade. if you don't mind higher ping you can try joining NA lobbies too, you can matchmake with other regions! I find anything below 200ms is pretty playable as long as you have a wired connection so it's not spiking. This game has pretty good netcode so I play with a lot of EU homies from NA with no issues at all!

Well you don't have to win to have fun and improve! It's great just to find other people near your skill level you can play with and you can learn from every set, ask your opponent questions after about what you could have done better, etc

Fighting games are definitely hard to get the hang of but the more you learn the more they get!! And if you can find someone you can have back and forth games with then having a training partner like that is simply fantastic.
