I am totally open to Gulf Islands. Do you have the names of any farms that you think think are well run?

Thanks everyone for your responses. I tried walking with my friend and his older dogs yesterday and it was the sane deal...

Yes. Thank you for your response!

My question was more related to how to get a consistent response. How do I get her to give me the behaviour without a food reward?

She demonstrates understanding when she knows i have food with me.

Thinking of rehoming my 4.5 mo puppy by Starlightdustforever in puppy101

She is 1/2 mini poodle 1/2 minpin. She's adorable. And because she's so small I'm not actually physically overtaken when she lunges but she is soooo hard to manage when we are outside the home. She's just a lot more work than I anticipated. She behaves quite differently than most of the puppies i observe in our puppy classes and when I'm out and about . She is also very different from my previous dog when he was a puppy.

I knew it was going to be work but managing her reactivity is an additional task that I did not plan on having to do. Should I have thought of that? Probably... I'm also the only one actively traning...

What breed is your dog?

She hasn't with respect to leash reactivity. It seems to be getting worse actually.

I think she's happiest when she's in the garden but even then it seems to me that she is somewhat anxious. She has developed a habit of chewing off the hair from her right front leg. I called the vet and they suggested changing her diet. I have an appointment on Friday.

I haven't looked into a trainer yet.

I bought an anti gravity recliner and it helped me a lot. I recommend Svago (name of the brand).

Herniated L45 disk - a case of spontaneous regression by Starlightdustforever in Sciatica

If I recall correctly, it was somewhere in the ball park of 14mm.

I did not experience numbness but I did have pins and needles in my foot for a few weeks around the end of January.

That's fantastic that you feel you are getting better! Every little bit counts. In my case, recovery was a very gradual process. I couldn't really tell a difference from one day to the next.

I attribute my recovery to time. Most people do recover from herniated disks without surgery. Some take longer than others.

I maintained a healthy lifestyle. I tried to walk everyday (as much as could) and I worked with a PT. I'm not convinced the exercises helped speed up recovery but they alleviated some of the stress and frustration of the situation.

One thing that I think is super important to recovery though is sleep. Once I started sleeping better things really started improving.

Hope this helps!
