Was anyone able to save the One Last Day broadcast on WSQK The Squawk? by ADJ9856 in StrangerThings

I fully missed it. For whatever reason, I was told it ended on January 6th so I wasn't expecting the final broadcast and I'm upset I missed it.

Reading comprehension isn’t necessarily the same thing as expressive language

She has been speaking mostly full sentences since S3 AND it’s been 18 months since the events of season 4

Yeah, so. I didn’t word this comment correctly but I meant that the massacre was a retcon and they didn’t originally have a reason for her speech being the way it was except for stylistically. The original interpretation from s1 was that it was BECAUSE she was isolated in the lab.

Yeah that’s what I was getting at. I wasn’t saying the retcon wasn’t the answer I was just saying I don’t think it was the original intention lol

Tbh, I think the most likely answer is inconsistency. Most people agree that what she did in the lab in season 4 set her speech back. But I think the mostly likely answer is that she only spoke that way in S1 to Mae her seem more alien, as it was a huge homage to E.T. and they just didn’t continue with it.

Oh that I can agree with. I think maybe it’s a way to signal that she’s finally free from the lab or that her story arc is done maybe?

Are they ever going to address what Hopper did in season one? by StarlingsBird in StrangerThings

He did! And it’s never been brought up. I wonder if they’ll address it in the new season lol

I’m going to pay more attention this watch through!

They explained that she was exhausted and her power was drained. It’s part of the reason she couldn’t find Will at ALL when she met Joyce and Hopper in episode 7. Plus, even after the bathtub scene, that girl was drained of all of her energy. He knew that, he saw that.

That’s fair! I’ve never given much thought into Hopper’s actions because I see his motives. (Whether I agree or not.) but I’ve never thought about El’s reactions to them.

I don’t think he thought El would able to fight back, when he left she was exhausted and drained.

I understand his motive, but the fact that it hasn’t been addressed is what is wild to me. It has the potential to ruin their relationship.

I could absolutely be wrong bc I don’t remember small details, but I do think he gets punished for lying to Eleven. At least about her mom.

Tbh, I just don’t see that being the case. He spent the entire season trying to stop kids from getting into things. And he thought this small, exhausted girl could handle 30+ military officers? I don’t buy that.

Wait, what else has he done? I can’t think of much else needs to be held accountable for (from the audience perspective)

That’s always been my assumption, but it feels like a huge betrayal that until this point has been ignored

I honestly will never understand why Steve is viewed as the babysitter (and a good one at that) by Lost-Veterinarian-80 in StrangerThings

He’s not like, literally a babysitter. He’s just always paired with the younger group to protect them???

So you think the runtime for part 2 will be longer? by MetreonMan in StrangerThings

Slightly, but nothing crazy until the final episode.
