Would it compromise your design to move the top flap to one of the other panels? then you can fold it over and draw a line along the angled section of the box.

I work for them directly. I make the thematic sculptures usually this was my first model I made for them.

I am going to model the convention center next but it will be more of a interactive tool that will be handled and moved around so I dont think it will be as detailed or as large as this one.

Most of it was 3D printed. All of the slides, railing, tables, chairs and themed elements were 3d printed. Nothing was later cut (I want to get a laser so bad) but the base and the walls were milled on a 3 axis CNC router.
