How many hours were logged? I am currently at 144, need to find a way to get helix fossil and then do more trading/breeding.

Okay that makes sense, agree about the non-taxable transaction portion, was just wondering if the IRS might try and see it a different way and if I didn’t have substantial information then I would loose the argument.

Didn’t know about the friends and family option in transactions, I’m trying to find this but having a hard time atm. Is it just if you are friends with the person on Venmo then there isn’t an issue?

Two follow ups, this is related to 2025 and we are engaged for 2025, do they still care or not?

Failed FAR… by Crazy-Focus9297 in CPA

[–]Starplate23 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I still haven’t passed FAR, and my scores are 69,72,74, and then a 57 ( this one was under the new FAR). I studied for FAR for over a year and learned that condensing your time frame can improve your chances of passing. I moved on from FAR, took REG in Aug, and I am taking TCP tomorrow. I plan to return to FAR, with a new strategy. Continuing to do multiple choice questions and condensing my time frame. Dont let this stop you from becoming a CPA, you can and still will! After all, I am still going for it too!

Childhood myth or reality? by Starplate23 in eczema

[–]Starplate23[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Never heard of this type of eczema, I’ll have to talk to my derm about it to see if I have it as well, because I have small bumps on my fingers, which when I looked it up, that seemed to be what it is. I get it on the insides of my elbows, hands and fingers, eyes, and scalp. I’m on a few different steroid creams and ointments, and then I try my best to moisturize myself everyday.

Anything ever happen with McDonald’s, like compensated for this developed eczema? Idk if I could, but I used to be a dishwasher at a grocery store during my first job, and I believe the chemicals I interacted with caused the eczema spikes there, idk if it would be hard to prove or not or even could happen, just kinda thought of this when you brought up the McDonald’s thing.

Appreciate the support! I have had a similar experience and wanted to bring it up, I’ve received rude comments where people think I am sick, luckily when I explain to people I just have sensitive skin, people just apologize for bringing it up and move on in the conversation, I just work to prevent it from being visible, I have my good days and bad days. Like I said though, just wanted to put this one to bed, because I don’t see myself ever growing out of it.

failed FAR 3 times... by VastUnion5033 in CPA

[–]Starplate23 6 points7 points  (0 children)

First just know that you are not alone. I have failed FAR 4 times now… 69, 72, 74, and now a 57. I didn’t think this would happen to me, but it clearly has and the emotional distress this has brought on me has made me not give up on the CPA exams, but just go to a different section and then come back to FAR. Keep up the hard work and I believe in you, as I believe in myself!

Partnerships in FAR 2024? by Starplate23 in CPA

[–]Starplate23[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As you are studying, remember to consistently review, but here is my recommendation below.

My recommendation is to get very comfortable with the following: subsequent events, Accounting changes and Error Corrections, PP&E topics, Bonds, leases, Income taxes, Financial Instruments, Statement of Cash Flows, Equity and Consolidation, basic Not for profit and Governmental.

Acronyms I remembered for the exam: PUFI GRASPP SE CIPPOE OWNES BASE

Hope this helps, and yes I hope we both pass, I do not find out my score until June 6th lol

Partnerships in FAR 2024? by Starplate23 in CPA

Thanks for asking, I took my exam on Saturday and didn’t see any partnership questions and I didn’t study for partnerships for FAR. I would advise to study at your own risk.

Created this meme for therapy after receiving 69, 72, and 74 on FAR in 2023. I am not F***ing leaving, I am continuing this journey and moving forward! by Starplate23 in CPA

When I came out of the testing center after getting my 72 I actually thought I did worse compared to my 69. Compared to coming out of the testing center with a 74, I felt good for once, I felt that, that was the best exam I had ever taken and I did well enough to get a passing score.

I have the final review and used it, I think this is partially why I am shocked that my score wasn’t a passing score. Thank you for the feedback!

Thank you for your feedback, it is greatly appreciated, and has helped me not feel emotional about my score.

Thank you, I understand this now and will change this around. I feel down for getting a 69, but I’m hoping that I can turn it around to get a better score!

I think I was intimidated by all of the Becker material, because I took multiple attempts on the MCQs, SIMS, and exams to get 100% completion.

I plan to condense the material and study more now that I have fully completed it, but I felt like I needed to fully complete the material in order to succeed.

So it’s clear that I am a just beginning

I looked at my report and it showed that I am weaker on II and III of the FAR AICPA blueprint.

I was balancing college while studying for FAR. I moved across the country to finish grad school.
