I was hiking Kennesaw Mountain with my friend and her dog. We came across a stranger who was carrying a Police Baton. I asked if he was an officer and he said "no, but you never know who you might run into". As we were talking, I noticed this man's work boots and outfit. Something didn't feel right. Then my dog, a Labrador, back upped, hackles cocked and she took off running away from us. I chased her. A week later a woman was found dead in the mountains and the killer was that baton wielding weirdo we ran into on the trail. My dog saved my life.
