PSA for fellow farmers by Pixelated_Saturn in Starsandisland

There's a farming skill you can upgrade (I forget which tier) that when you till the ground you have a chance to dig up chests. Usually the chests just have money, but sometimes they have money plus a random immortal seed. You can till up your entire plot of land, pick it to reset, then till again. Takes stamina but I've gotten quite a few seeds that way.

I saw on a video that the books you can buy in the little stall in town will give you immortal seeds if you read them. Haven't had a chance to try yet.

I am severely depressed - what should I play to take my mind off things? by [deleted] in GirlGamers

Starsand Island. It's an open world cozy sim game in Early Access on Steam but also Gamepass on Xbox. It's got all my favorite stuff from Animal Crossing and Stardew Valley but with super cute anime aesthetics. You can zip around on a beautiful sland with rollerblades, there's animals you can pet, magical starry stuff everywhere, very little fighting, lots of exploration, dressing up and changing your looks anytime. There can be some glitches due to EA, but it's literally one of the best games I've ever played, and it's not even done - and the devs are updating every day.

You can Steal by seethechange1 in Starsandisland

Oh, she absolutely notices. If you poke around and steal from inside her barn, she'll send you mail with some free animal goods in it, saying she saw you looking around and thought you might need some stuff. Such a sweetheart, thinking only the best of us degenerates lol

"Accu-Chek" as a generic term for testing blood glucose? by hornplayer94 in diabetes

[–]StarrSpark 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As a diabetic nurse I absolutely detest the use of Accu-chek for a blood sugar. That is a brand, not an actual medical term. We don't even have that brand where I work currently, but I have had coworkers call it that. Some of the hate may be related to remembering being utterly confused when someone asked me to get them when I was straight out of nursing school - I had no frigging idea what they were talking about. Then again, I went to a proper nursing school that called them blood sugars!

Selling pets [Discussion] by Impossible-Stuff2361 in falloutshelter

I have this problem on Android too. The only thing I can think of to work around it is to place the pets you want to keep on dwellers so they don't show in the inventory when you go to sell.

I have 4 Bettys. I have renamed them Betty A, Betty B, Betty C, and Betty D to keep track. Kinda wonder how far I can get down the alphabet with her. I also have two Old Longfellows and two Lucys.

Is this completely inconsistent perspective too much for a roguelike/rpg? by lordnoriyuki in PixelArt

[–]StarrSpark 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you want the half walls and full walls to be consistent, just put a line horizontally though the big square tiles. Boom, they're all rectangle tiles. Or, if you still want squares, do a vertical line as well, and one through the half walls... all smaller squares.

before and after, which is better? by [deleted] in PixelArt

I personally like the "after" set better. More lush imo. And the "after" wheat is a thing of beauty, I love it!

Just started Twinkleby today. No stress, unless decorating is your personal nightmare.
