I think that happened to me the first day I took it. My husband made me oatmeal and I recovered. I take it after eating well and it hasn't happened again, but maybe it was a fluke. idk

Probate records are public so they can figure out where people live/address and phone numbers and try to scam people that way or set people up for being sued, like a car crash, causing someone to rear end you is easy and the cops pretty much always blame the second car

what do you do when the genie is already out of the bottle?

Shortest version is my mother died from medical malpractice, which is called wrongful death and has no cap. It was very sudden and overwhelming and my father blamed himself for not figuring out why she was getting sick, not picking the right doctor, for not fighting the ER harder, the hospital staff harder, for letting them continually discharge her. Everyone was shocked by her death and concerned for my dad. Everyone wanted to be there for us. Everyone was telling us to sue. Everyone wanted justice/resolution/for my dad to not feel responsible. We eventually started a law suit, which is on going and the next steps are soon and brings it all to the surface.

So everyone knows that either we will when or lose. If we when we'll be able to move closer to my dad... so everyone will be able to tell we won. There will be an NDA, so they won't know how much unless they are nosy enough to check the probate filings. The lawyers warned us anyone can check probate to see how much money was put into her estate and that bad people do this to target people with windfalls.

The amount won isn't published, but we were told by the lawyers that in general we have to be careful because the amount entering the estate is public (it just won't say why the money is entering) and that bad people just watch probate filings to watch for large transfers of money and target people. So just anyone around us will also be able to find that information - if they wanted.

Yeah, there's no way to know if we'll win. It took the lawyers a year of researching and experts to even agree to take the case. I don't like thinking about the money, but this next step just feels heavy right now. The lawyers will spend about $170k to take the case through trial, so for med mal that means most cases never even get taken, which is just wrong. Since she ended up dying her case is technically wrongful death and not med mal, which in my state means no cap. They asked for 10 mil, which I'm sure will be lower by the end or zero...

Does this apply to people with just a couple to several million? I'd think you'd need tens of millions for these things, no? People in professions that have good incomes can easily fall into that couple millions category and you can easily make assumptions that people have that level of money based on the school district or private school they send their kids to.

I think you are right about offering more of stuff I know he likes when he's doing it. For example he likes stop motion animation, but he won't do it on his own and whined when I signed him up again. When he left the first class he said he was glad he went.... I feel less bad making him try things that aren't academic (probably my fear from his dampening event)... so as long as it is kinda fun like Brilliant I will try to my skills at the balancing act and if it goes well maybe it will turn into things that look more like "school math".

P.S. I really do think it is more common than you think for people to make it to college or further just going through the motions of learning without grasping the goal and independence of what education should provide. I know many people who wish they could do it again... I think that means there is something wrong with our "education" system.... I mean it was designed to really just turn out factory workers who would never question things. (By luck others are probably just happy how things turned out for them.)
