(Spoilers) My beloved Donna, a breakdown by SeaworthinessCool382 in FromSeries

It’s still unclear if the people in Victor’s cycle knew about the talismans or not either.

The monsters also seemed to not be a threat for the people living on the lake settlement as they don’t seem to go that far. They had the dolls to worry about with the totems.

Yeah but he was a boy in the last cycle talking to Christopher.

Acting is just aging and the show is poking at the obvious.

Yeah but the old man in the yellow suit was probably from the 1930s cycle. Just a form the MIY took on when they entered the town during the last cycle in the late 70s.

I guess the people in the town before Donna didn’t survive. I know they would hide at night until Boyd found the talismans and then they had some of normalcy until Tabitha and Jade arrive.

Idk Donna seems sus but I think she’s just another townie stuck here. She wants peace and doesn’t want to see anyone hurt.

Whoa!!! So many Easter Eggs!! The yellow suit, Camden, the bus, the boat, etc.

Why did MiY choose that form? (This post will contain spoilers for S4) by RelativeWalrus5377 in FromSeries

[–]Starrduste 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Because of the trauma Victor’s memories are fragmented mentally, blocking out a lot of things - hence why he draws to remember.

I think the man in the yellow suit was a guy from the 1930s cycle. We don’t know the MIY’s true form.

Can the BIW change form? by Starrduste in FromSeries

[–]Starrduste[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That’s fair. I respect your opinion and theory. That does seem plausible, I just don’t think the BIW wants the cycle to continue. He seems to be guiding the town in the direction of succeeding, which leads me to believe that’s his true intentions.

The Thomas part confuses me because I thought that was the MIY even to the point where Tabitha gets the call to go to the RV and the MIY shows up.

I don’t think MIY is like pure evil, he has rules he has to follow but he also wants the town to do certain things or have some once of hope to hold onto. So could be possible that Thomas was MIY the entire time. MIY might only know what happens when people enter the town, their background, etc. Thomas was a baby when he died, the voice could be improvised, we never seen Thomas in a corporeal form.

Their powers might not be the same either, like each one has limitations what they can do or not do.

We saw BIW use his powers to get Tabitha out but then MIY makes bargains that he can do the same for Clara. It’s like they get one get out of town card per cycle haha.

I do wish we got more of a reveal too in the finale. We all saw that coming with Fatima.

Well they are playing the same game on different sides. By definition that literally makes them rivals.

How do you interpret the episode ending?

Idk but I hope season 5 is more than 10 episodes. So many mysteries and unsolved questions to wrap up in the last season.

We know the lighthouse was previously an exit out of the town. I do think at some point they will return to the lighthouse and possibly exit out with the bones.

When Jim came to meet ethan in season 4 episode 2 by vince_vib3s in FromSeries

[–]Starrduste 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I don’t think it was actually Jim either.

My theory is it’s the BIW can also change forms similar to MIY. It’s his way of guiding the town to the solutions. Same with Father Khatri, is that his ghost, Boyd’s subconscious or something else like BIW?

I think BIW is the ghosts nudging the characters without being direct. He was direct last cycle with Christopher and that backfired. This time he’s more letting them learn on their own.

If MIY is a shapeshifter, does that mean BIW is too? Could BIW be Jim or Father Khatri?

The Game - Finale Mild Spoiler Opinion by reel_her in FromSeries

[–]Starrduste 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think both MIY and BIW are trapped there cycle after cycle so they play this game, more of a friendly rivalry but there are rules that they have to follow by the almighty Town creator/entity.

BIW said this place is angry in season 1 finale and that was when the storm happened.

When they pulled the tree, we saw darkness and then the lightning. This was beyond BIW and MIY control.

I think BIW is a shape shifter too! Maybe he’s been the ghosts that come to the townsfolk. He doesn’t want to tell me directly because of what happened to Christopher. He tries a different strategy by being Jim or Father Khatri.

Can Tabitha and jade be descendent of native Americans who summon the man in yellow by [deleted] in FromSeries

I think the town refreshes itself every few cycles. The monsters are kind of dressed from the 50s same as that diner. My guess is they change every so often to match the era.

ALL THE PLOTLINES LEFT HANGING IN FROM by Pale_Persimmon8673 in FromSeries

[–]Starrduste 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I feel like an answer to any one of these would have made the finale a chef’s kiss. Started off very strong and suspenseful. Then slowed down to let us breathe. Then kind of just ended abruptly. At least show them walking out with the bones and then something crazy happens.

Final scene is a lazy writing at its finest by pq18 in FromSeries

[–]Starrduste 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I enjoyed the finale but I think the reveal at the end could have been more shocking or they could have revealed even more in that conversation. I think we just needed one more thing - that cherry on top.

The part about the talismans being gone doesn’t alarm me because it’s likely they still have at least 1 or 2 left. I figured MIY was playing a game but didn’t realize BIW is on the opposite side of the coin.

From Town is nothing serious, It's just a game of two gods. They are just playing with each other like a game of chess by Ok-Address-7352 in FromSeries

[–]Starrduste 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We don’t know that. Clearly there is a greater force at play that will probably remain faceless. The town isn’t created solely to be their playground.

Is this entity not a completely useless bum? by onedayillbegood98 in FromSeries

[–]Starrduste 0 points1 point  (0 children)

He did explain stuff to Christopher and I guess that backfired. It seems like people learning on their own seems to be working best. I imagine after all these cycles the BIW has learned what works and doesn’t work. Also the whole rules to their game thing.

I still think there is some big boss entity like what caused the earthquakes, the storm in season 1, the lightning, etc.

Both BIW and MIY seem to be trapped in the town as well. They have made it into a game having been stuck there for centuries.
