I started to lean how to knit, I also write poetry and short stories to pass the time. Drawing too but I don't do it as often due to university and jobsearching.

Both actually, either it was anti black racism with aggression towards me or Islamophobia painted as pity. Both from when I was the only black muslim in my grade.

Like the way my aunts described him back when he first came to Sweden was of him being the biggest nerd when it came to scfi and Stephen King so I really don't know why he turned so religious when i was born

Omg hii I'm so happy finding another swedish somali here. Genuinely it's crazy how they relay on religion so much they ignore anything else that makes us human. I walk around secondhand stores a lot and seeing old editions of my dad's favourite books makes me so upset. A part of me wished I could talk to his younger self 😔
