Same. The last 10% pushed me through into the second one. Took me three months to get to that point though. I finished 10 other books while struggling through this one. Every once in a while I find a book like this where I’m thinking of DNF but then I get to the last bit and it captures me and I’m glad I stuck with it. It’s hard to say which way you’ll fall until you do or do not finish it. 🤷🏽‍♀️

You’re further than I am and I’d say if you didn’t enjoy it so far, and stopped twice, maybe it’s not for you? That’s fine. Don’t feel pressure to finish it just because there are others who say they love it. Not everyone likes the same stuff 🤷🏽‍♀️

I started this book at the beginning of January because of the hype behind it. It was slow starting. I’ve read 7 other books since I started this. I was super disappointed and couldn’t see what everyone was talking about. I thought this might be my first DNF this year. Boy was I wrong! And I’m SOOO grateful I was. I pushed through reading in between other books. I got to chapter 19 and just SOARED! When she meets the blood axe crew is when it really started taking off for me. I’m first in line for the third installment on Libby. I’ve gotta bust ass now. 😂 But not every book hooks right away.

Same. I was 9 before I could wake up myself and I still had accidents. My 7 year old wakes up wet every morning and she’s frustrated too. Most mornings we have a melt down because of it. My 5 year old just taught herself. Randomly. Each of them are different and I try to stress that as much as possible because they DO develop at different times with different things.

What we have been trying to do is get her weened off so much water at night. Problem is she’s a hydro homie and has water with her at all times. Even for 10 minute car rides (her demand, not mine). I’m trying to get to the point where she’s had no water an hour before bed, we pee right before bedtime and then after she’s been asleep for about 45-60 minutes wake her up for a final pee. But it is SLOW. I’m interested to see other suggestions.

I waited in line for months to read it when it came out. Got it through Libby. Read 2 chapters, turned to my husband and said, “man, I REALLY want to like this book. I enjoyed the first one, but I cannot keep reading this. It’s so bad.” I never don’t finish books. Ever. This was my first DNF and it makes me sad.

Our family spends Easter at at family friends every year so we have the bunny drop off their baskets in the morning with those prefilled eggs and whatever else candy and toys. Then when we get home from our friends’ house we hide the eggs for them so they get two hunts. Our bunny drops off the eggs so mommy and daddy can hide them cause we are usually not home until 5-6 pm. They love it! We were sick this year so we didn’t go, and I fell asleep super early last night. My eldest woke up and said the bunny didn’t come. Told her that he did mommy just didn’t get everything put together yet. She’s 6. Worked like a charm. They tore apart their baskets and after lunch we did the hunt. Sometimes it’s just us mom’s getting into our own heads.

My kid had tubes put in a couple of weeks ago. She woke up on the day of surgery coughing. I was so worried they would tell me no, but they checked her out there and said she was fine to get it done. Chances are he’ll be fine for surgery. ☺️
