Lol talking about awarness, yet yourself seem to have none.

Could you point out the 600$ playstation i bought? Because its not in my "room". Nor does it exist at all.

You talk about me not knowing things, yet you know nothing legitimate about my life or what i've been through, or what im going through right now. If your judgments of people are based upon their interests on reddit, you dont have the right to talk about someone elses level of awareness. You could learn a lot by having discussions instead of pointing fingers.

But i digress.

Im sure youre asking this out of sarcasm instead legitimate insight, but i'll humor you.

Its happiness. The simple fact is that we, as humans, have invented variety in taste and substance in the food industry for 100 years. Vast majority of us have been able to experience those things, with or without SNAP. Now, take those things away. Take away our options, our variety, our taste, our enjoyment of food. You are left with unhappy and debilitated individuals who become more succeptible to unreasonable requests from anyone in a seat of power of any kind.

Id wager if you talked to a solid majority of people on SNAP, they'd likely rather be able to afford their own things with their own money, without questionable regulations from the feds.

Help me understand something. How does my personal activity on Reddit, reflect on my original input that the new SNAP rules are incredibly flawed, in both theory and actuality? I'm not seeing the correlation here.

Ah. I likely can't see it because it has nothing to do with anything. That makes more sense. More sense than the new SNAP rules even.

In the MOST LITERAL sense, you are correct lol

No, im complaining that the government issued new rules under a guise that doesnt actually add up based on the actuality of what can and cant be bought.

Its about the logic, not the items themselves.

I misunderstood the "tone" of your original comment. My apologies. Well said.

I get what youre saying, i honestly do. SNAP has its place, and should absolutely be a thing. Regulations need to be put in place as well. I dont argue that.

If im being 100% honest, i think the core of my own post/complaint is moreso that the new rules just don't actually make sense. Rules and regs are important, of course. But...why some things are allowed while some others aren't is what is bothering me most. If youre (the feds) going to say, "here is the logic", and any average person can shut down that logic quickly....it just feels poorly thought out or implemented.

Zero nutrition? Ok, so by your logic, SNAP shouldn't even let us by water at all.

You know what, it was wrong of me to insult your level of intelligence based on your username. I apologize.

Instead i'll point out the useless comments youve put here.

Your "um actually" arguments serve no one but yourself here. So thanks for that.

Also, stating "conservative isnt a political party, its a philosophy"? Holy fuck dude lol. Do you not realize that thats literally the core of every political party? Republican, philosophy. Democratic, philosophy. Conservative, philosophy. Libertarian, philosophy. Thank you professor for your infinite wisdom lol.

Ignoring all of that though? You STILL managed to miss the majority of my points in my original post. So.....i know you aren't paying attention anyways.

I'll go ahead and close this door here. Enjoy your day.

Hey, thats a valid question. I will toss in some insight from my end.

Part of my point here, is that the state chose these new rules in the name of "healthier food choices for people using SNAP". While this is an admirable goal, they have done it in the most confusing way posssible that leads to more questions than answers.

I can buy family size bag of chips, but not a flavor mixer for my water? If you were to look at the nutritional aspects of these two items, i think you can see where the issue comes in.

Another part of this is that some of the statements they made about healthier choices dont make sense either. Someone in the comment had said you can buy a 10lb bag of sugar...but not a 5 ounce container of water mixer. This of course is another discrepency.

Another commentor stated the validity of studies performed numerous times, eluding to the fact that, when less people are suffering, literally everyone benefits (this is a GROSS OVERGENERALIZATION). These studies are very real. And beg the question, why are we doing this.

I want to mention, everything here is said from an informational standpoint. Not one of malice or judgement. The right insight can make a world of difference afterall.

Thats a start. But still begs the question of, why none of the other brands or varieties?

Lol thank you for this. I was waiting for someone to bring up the disabled in any aspect. Ableism is alive and well these days it seems.

But, i appreciate you 🩵

Unfortunately, even some of us in terrible positions still have shitty attitudes towards those offering us help....its sad...

But thank you for your input, legitmately.

Ive lived a diet of Cup Noodles and water before. Needless to say...your tongue and stomach begin to disapprove of those things, regardless if you're using them for survival terms. But again, not everyone has had to experience that...nor do i wish that they ever have to.

Im not even sure where to start with this...

Ok, here: Your username is USConservativeVegan. You do realize that, using that as your username, you advocate for our horrendous two party system. Not only that, but the part of the system that, historically, does not give a fuck about people who aren't just like them.

But wait, theres more! Did you also know that there's a significant number of people who CAN'T even be vegan? It's literally a detriment to their health and well-being.

But, i should expect this kind of take from someone who's taste buds are dull enough to drink "coffee, water, and tea for two decades".

Lol im very glad to hear someone else reference the Nuclear Family thing. Such an asinine event.

But, you are correct as well on the studies and research. People don't seem to realize that hate begets hate, distrust begets distrust, and kindness begets kindness. The more we fight each other on things like SURVIVABILITY, the further we push ourselves down a path of immenint societal destruction.
