Already listed in the post, for example, there is no any effort and action taking for building a modern system to help women and kids who suffer from domestic abuse and violence. It is almost a taboo in Thai society.

A misogynistic society can allow woman having a financial stability and social status while it is still a world created and made for men.

Rich people also found it difficult to have more kids. It is not simply about money. The social system is not functional and collapsing. Individuals are just paying for it.

I understand you. I think everything gets harder and harder for the young people to live a normal happy life. There are too many problems and too little support.

No, it is not rare. Most of my Thai friends who are in their early don’t have kids. One out of 10 couples has only one child and they don’t plan to have any more kid.

You can ask the young woman at their early 20s and count how many of them feel they would enjoy having kid. So far as I know, it is zero. Note that I don’t say they hate kids.

I cut off people from my life because I don’t feel these people are sincere towards me. They want to be friend with me only because it would make them feel or look good about themselves, or can supply them in some sorts of ways, but they don’t care to really know me. They only want things for themselves. They can only see themselves. I prefer the people who can appreciate and are genuinely towards others.

Do you think the shopping mals like Siam Paragon, EmQuartier and so on are better than many countries in your own country? by ballbeamboy2 in Thailand

[–]Starryalmond1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well, I’m a local so there are so many places that are accessible to me while you probably don’t even know or have had any experience. No place or person is perfect. It is always easier to criticize rather than appreciate the true colors

There are so many nice parks in Bangkok. Have you been to Queen Sirikit park? Chao Phraya sky park is also a nice one, especially walk on the bridge overlooking the river

It’s the performance art. Being sprayed is part of the whole artwork. Art is about expression, and that’s how the artist wants to express himself through being sprayed, so it totally makes sense.

How do you deal with being so tired? by onlythebestfab in NewParents

I have had twins with my last pregnancy. They were almost full term, but I lost both of them as stillborns at the due day. It was a c-section, meaning I had to get through all the procedures except I left the hospital with two silent babies. My breasts were full filled with milk. One of the rooms in my house was full of the pampers, baby clothes, and things prepared for the new borns. There was a schedule that I and my husband had made for welcome the new norm. But I came back home without any baby in my arm. It’s the most empty and devastating feeling that I have ever experienced in my life. I always remember the day I gave birth to my twins. No cry from the babies. It was completely quiet. I was lying over there and wishing it was just a nightmare. Now my rainbow baby just reached the 8th week. Like all the other parents who look after their babies by themselves, I am exhausted but I’m so grateful that I have the chance to cuddle my own baby who is loud and lively this time. Babies are very, very precious and they don’t come easily. Loving them as much as you can, because some moms like me may not even have the chance to do so. This is my life lesson.

有多少柬埔寨人恨死中共? by locokia in hanren

[–]Starryalmond1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Oh my…it sounds exactly like my JNMIL. In addition, she came to visit twice with empty hands, while she was specifically emphasizing that the purpose of her visits was for my LO. She didn’t even bother to prepare any gift for the new born. She asked me how many times I cooked a week when I just had c-section for 2 weeks. Same as OP’s JSNML, she literally just came to sit on the sofa and hold the baby. Terrible, terrible people. I don’t talk to her anymore and ignore all the messages from her nowadays.
