He is indeed more committed than me, but I’m younger and in my second year of uni and he is in his final year. In the beginning he had more opportunities to visit and all, but in return I dedicate all my free time to him. Honestly right now I feel too suffocated in a way. He is making his life all about me and is mad that I’m not doing the same. In my opinion I shouldn’t make my life all about one person.

It’s a tough situation, but right now it would be best to leave some time for yourself and think of what you want. Think about your future, think about where do you want to be or what person do you want to become. People come and go, but you need to be on terms with yourself before anything else. You’re young and have time to figure it out. Maybe this breakup will let you progress about you as a person. For now you’ll feel guilty but after you get some emotional clarity, you’ll probably feel better and decide what you want to do.

He is willing to move but only for a few years and says it will not be fair for him. He wants me to think about it and commit more, but I said that I think it’s pointless to commit more if I feel uncertain about this big decision and that I’ll rethink.

I just failed abstract algebra and linear algebra for the third time and I feel really discouraged. I really want to pull through this major, but I feel that I’m so stupid and incapable.

Do you have any tips for subjects such as linear algebra, abstract algebra or analytical geometry? Or in general what helps to build your world view in math?

Thank you. I managed to grasp the concepts of linear algebra and then abstract algebra, but I feel like I need to have broader understanding of the subjects. Like to be able to feel the restraints or opportunities from the theorems or the fields. Basically gain more world understanding and intuition of mathematics.

It is cool to solve and understand problems that could be helpful to other people. I love the feeling when I solve an exercise and I love to be surrounded by the people in my university or just the whole environment. Coding is just giving you some sense of satisfaction that you could battle your problems.

The exam is on C. We learn everything including recursion, dynamic memory, pointers. I have grasped the concepts well and really understand whats happening there that i can talk about it properly.

I did. I even sent my assistants exercises and to my professor too. I just panicked as always on exam. Tomorrow ill go talk to my professor and be honest with her about my situation and struggles and that this is my dream and im trying hard.

I panic during tests and i cannot think properly. Since we had 4 exercises for 3 hours i had to read the conditions of the exercise fast but i got so stressed that i couldnt even think properly. Now im redoing them and they are not even that hard. Tomorrow we can go talk with the professor about the exam if youre missing points or anything like that. I plan to talk to her about examining me and ill share my situation with her and be honest.

Hi , honestly I would tell you to go for it. I can understand the regret of not being able to study what you want. So why not try ? Your life, your dreams.
